Oh hell yeah

 

I rather see an accurately modeled aircraft than an accurately painted one. The colours in combined mode look nice though.

 

Not feeling the colors

 

I don’t know about the metallic finish. Seems very retro. Aren’t modern fighters usually primer grey?

Grey yes, but it's not primer. Aircraft primer is generally mustard-yellow.

 

Yeah, I mean it looks like what we typically use as primer, not that it was actually primer. Interesting that it’s yellow.

 

Mint green is definitely becoming popular lately. But most planes from about WW2 to now are still yellow. (zinc chromate, mostly, AFAIK)

 

Love that they're not going toon coloring. These things often look great in grey primer and then turn kind of garish with the toon coloring.

Though I kinda wish it still had the red accents of the Aerialbots, I see what they're going for with Encourager and I REALLY like it.

But may scoop this up if the price is right when someone decides to unload theirs.

 

Man the metallic deco is sexy as all hell. Although I agree it does need a little bit more color. Definitely prefer this to the predictable G1 deco.

 

I'm ok with it not being non G1 colors, but not too happy about metallic silver.
Would be an insta-buy if it was painted in a low vis scheme, but will hold final opinions until they show color photos in bot mode.

I’m on the fence due to size. I love the creativity on display with this design, and I want to reward companies who take these sorts of design risks. But ultimately he may just be too big to go along with my Warbotron-scale CHUGsterpiece combiner lineup. I’m still VERY interested to see how this dude turns out.

 

Yeah I’m there too. Doesn’t need to be G1 colors for me to be interested, but it’s pretty much just all 1 grey color which makes it look dull to me.

 

I was definitely expected g1 colors, but now I'm even more appreciating the different take they're going with this guy.

 

I feel like it could work well with just a hint of the G1 colours. Not enough to make you say "Oh, that's a red jet" but rather one which, especially when set alongside the others, quite clearly isn't the same silver/grey.

But this can still work. I like the cohesion.

 

Maybe painting the nosecones or adding a few stripes of the same color as their G1 counterparts.
