no offense to anyone but this is one reason why i choose not to go to comic con.
Hasbro should have called the Alpha Betas to go in there and clean up!
A few questions.
1) what is the purpose of preview night?
2) is the $75 a fee to go in and check out everything or just the hasbro booth?
An offence it is not. That's why many don't go to SDCC
They paid the 75 for admission to the convention which they got. They did not get to buy the hasbro toys they wanted but they did not pay 75 to ensure they would get the toys.
Why does some angry menopausol troll have to show up at every one of these conventions, never fails, you will always see some grumpy ass woman wailing on a staff member about something because they did her and mankind a diservice.
Once I understood the situation a little more, I thought "Oh, I'd be pissed off as well." Then I learned that the $75 just got you IN to the show early, it didn't guarantee anything from any dealer. My thoughts then were more of I'd be mad, but more at the situation of not being told the line was cut off.
None of this was Hasbro's fault, it was lack of communication from whomever was controlling the line.
I was thinking the same thing lol, "it" thinks its Alan Dershowitz. I would tell the Sea Hag to go home your cats are lonely!
So they paid $75 to stand in line for 3 hours for the off-chance to buy toys that might be available by the time they got to the booth at the preview, but surely would be available later? My heart bleeds purple Kool-Aid for them.
The $75 is no different then the Stupid Tax that gets charged to the people that pay $100 for a figure on ebay that will be available 2 months later at Target for $11.
The money paid to get into preview night is just that. There is no guarantee of getting the figures you want that night.
Now don't take that as me saying it was handled properly. I do believe that they could have at least given a shout out warning that the booth may be closing in 30 minutes or done something to handle the situation better and warned people that those furhter back in the line may not be getting their figure(s).
But sadly the nature of lines is sometimes you don't always get what you want with all the time spent in the line.
I don't feel sorry for those people cause I'm sure alot of them are just going to scalp the stuff and make it even harder for people to get.
I dont go to a theater 5 minutes before it starts, you get shitty seats garunteed. If real fans are going to compete with the resellers they should have been there when it opened not three hours ( in line time) behind everyone else.
Gives new meaning to "TRASH TALK" lol man o man do i HATE scalpers!!
The Sea Hag!! Never fails, these people crawl out of the San Diego manholes every Comic Con, its hilarious. Not alot of reflective surfaces down in the sewers huh!!! lmao
Umm, no. The hall is open for 3 hours only on preview night, meaning they spent the entire time waiting in line.
EXHIBIT HALL HOURS
WED, JULY 20
6:00 PM-9:00 PM
THU, JULY 21
9:30 AM-7:00 PM
FRI, JULY 22
9:30 AM-7:00 PM
SAT, JULY 23
9:30 AM-7:00 PM
SUN, JULY 24
9:30 AM-5:00 PM
Meaning when the doors opened, they went in line.
I'm going to be honest I suck at math but my common sense is telling me I can figure this out. Hall opens, line fills up. You are last in line if you waited three hours and never made it to check out and the hall closed....what does that mean? Means you should have been there earlier to get your stuff. Cause they obviously weren't there first, they were the end of the line.
They should have cut the line off, not saying there weren't issues, but people were never garunteed anything. I can do this math though, if im in the back of the line( litterally with these folks) and its not moving? I'm not going to stand there for three hours to get turned around thats just ridiculous. Especially with someones obnoxious mother bitching about it the whole time.
And after all the nerd rage and viral blogs the final outcome is.................they will continue to buy Hasbro Toys, they sure showed Hasbro!!!!
Well, if immature comedy has taught me anything, I'd say those people should've just paid a hobo to claim their place in line or something instead of wasting their whole day.
crab people....crab people.....crab people....crab people....
" this fool is terribly misinformed"
"shall I termimate?"
"we will kill them all in the name of FREEDOM!"
Just out of curiosity....does this sort of thing happen at every single convention? Or was this only on this one?
Holy... that blows so hard
