Hey, guys. Decided to dive back into this Burnout model I was doing, and then started to redesign her helmet as well as give her a new look. I think I'll be totally redesigning the character. I really love those transluscent blue Playstation controllers, so I'm kinda going for that look, where you can see circuitry on the inside, although, I won't be going overboard with detail. I'm still just playing at this, so forgive my lack of technical saavy, still amateuring. I did some mods to the details in her face, namely straightening the nose, refining detail in her chin. What do you guys think? Should i go with this?

Yeah, I definitely want to do some interior head techie stuff. Right now, I'm sketching a futuristic alt mode, something not unlike Landbullet. I'm also going for more of a toy look too.
The only thing I'm not sure about is the horns. I don't think Burnout needs to be throwin' up the horns. Matt
Looking good. But be careful with how much detail you put in; poly counts can rise VERY quickly, and without sufficient internal details the model will look very empty. I'll be following this one closely, to see how it turns out.

Hey, guys, here's an update. She's gonna be a truck, so here's the start of her alt mode. I'm thinking about making her fully transformable, like a toy, but i have no idea how to, LOL. I'm just going with some gut feelings and will take any suggestions! Sorry about the sloppyness, but I didn't feel like connecting the two halves, but here's the cab design so far.
Can anyone suggest a great tire modelling tutorial? For the life of me, I can't freaking find one for Maya. The main problem I'm having is after shaping the tire with a NURBS torus, I can't detach a surface. I select both isoparms and click detach, but all it does is duplicate the tire. All I'm trying to do is remove the interior of the tire to make place for the rim design. Can anyone help me? Any Maya modellers out there?
all i can say is that cab design is awesome doesnt George Tremarco and/or Draven use Maya? i know WeeWoo hates Maya so :\
