I was invited to participate in the 3rd annual Brasil Hot Wheels collectors convention, (the first convention I have attended)to show my custom die cast robots, when I got back home I decided to do a custom out of one of the convention exclusives to honnor all the people who liked my work. PLMKWYT
I thought for a moment you've gone and made it transformable, but that doesn't matter. Your attention to detail in what looks an awkward material to work with is brilliant. Genius! Seán
- and to add, if TF came out in the 70's, and this guy had a red body.... ;-) what is your characters name? Seán
sadly it doesnt transform cause I would need 3 or 4 cars to make it transformable (too much handling ruins the graphics and tampos) but at least it looks like it could
As always, bud. I'm highly impressed with your work. You have one of the most original sets of customs I've ever seen.
i wish my dermel could cut so thin as always , original and super impressive all the part in the bot are made from the hotwheels model? or u add some others ? which joints do u use ?
Dude, you did what Hasbro cannot. FINALLY made a transformer-styled figure again out of a Volkswagen! It screams to me like a mesh between Gobot and G1, but with a lot more articulation. I also really like how you showed the photos of how you planned it/cut the pieces out.
thanks for the comments, to answer your questions on this particular one I used the 99% of the drag bus and some pieces from a bike there are 2 kind of joints on it, 1 are hinges made from a piece of acrilic and the other are balljoints made with small balls from a collar nailed to a piece of acrilic and the other part is carved on 2 pieces of acrilic glued together the parts that doesnt belong to any die cast cars (beside the acrilic structure) are the head which is from a broken transformer I had and the hands that came from a pinata toy soldier
sorry my friend but it doesnt transform (in order to make it transform I would need 3 or 4 of the same car and this is a +50 US dollar hot wheels)
