Has anyone have heard of this new Dracula movie yet? It's about how Dracula who was known as Vlad III Tepes became the famous vampire in the first place. This isn't anything new actually since we did have some stories of Dracula that focused on his days as Vlad Tepes before he became Dracula but if I'm right not to this level. It looks interesting and his red armour does remind me a little of Dracula's wolf armour in Francis Ford Coppola's adaptation of Dracula. The first trailer so far can be found here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbNrCBM52xk
"This video has been removed by the user." "Tepes" was not his name. It was a title his enemies gave him. His surname really was Dracula (Son of the Dragon) because he was a second generation member of the Order of the Dragon. His father, Vlad II, was Vlad Dracul.
I haven't watched the trailer yet, but that poster looks badass. I like Luke Evans as Dracula because I really enjoyed him as Bard in The Hobbit and Owen Shaw in Fast and Furious 6. I normally hate the idea of horror prequels, but Dracula is an exception due to the inspiration for the character with the whole Vlad The Impaler background. I think it could be really interesting.
I know the video was removed so sorry about that. I guess Universal didn't want the trailer to come out yet somehow. Oh ok, Anyway since the trailer isn't out yet the music that comes from the trailer is released. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hne-eJOeZzA I like how gothic and eerie it sounds. It fits the tone of the movie well.
I was able to find a link to the trailer here. Dracula Untold - Trailer / Bande-Annonce [VO|HD] - Vidéo Dailymotion
And then he makes a deal with the "devil". I bet this will be a better "descent to the dark side" then we got from Anakin in the SW prequels.
Holy crap, the Castlevania movie got made after all. Looks pretty great. Although anything would look great compared to the Dario Argento Dracula movie I just stupidly watched.
Tywin Lannister (Charles Dance) as the vampire god guy. Other than that, this movie looks terribad to me, to be quite honest.
I think this actually looks like it could possibly be good. This movie's going to hinge on Luke Evans' performance, but from the trailer, I'm intrigued.
Admittedly, I am a little skeptical about the concept for the film when I saw this thread at first. Thankfully, the trailer actually looks like it could be very interesting and I liked the music that accompanies it. I might even consider seeing this in theatres once it comes out.
