I just received the “toy color” Optimus prime, and can confirm that the gray, red and blue are a bit darker than the original. It goes great with the Botropolis Rescue Mission

 

I never saw that they made this in Toxitron deco, might have to just drop the extra $$$ to get one from EBay as ShowZ is sold out

Yeah we definitely need more car bots for sure. Hot Rod was my favorite WST character and I would love to have a Dr. Wu version. I would also love to get Sideswipe, Hound, and Arcee among others. But I personally would lose it if he gave us some combiners, starting off with big Devy...

 

I too wish we could get more mini figures faster,,, but if you think about it,,, he just released a Trypticon, and has other repaints of it coming out. Plus in the post above he says the Magnus armor is coming soon. Wu also dropped in the past 6 months that mini wheelie repaint, ew Optimus repaints, the sworddancer set, mechanic studios arcee and whatever else is left to clean up of MFT. Megatron in 4th quarter. And hes an actual doctor from what I've read. So considering all that on his plate, with covid conditions in China still being sketchy, I'd say he's doing alright on releasing things

 

So is the armor an add-on set (do I have to get the base figure separately), or does it all come together?

 

From what I’ve read, he will release both. At least for Magnus. So if you have the white prime, you don’t need to buy it twice  
But I believe the white Magnus will be a little different from the other release (red front, I think?)

Yeah, Hot Rod was a MicroMaster and had WST figure. And with Ultra Magnus coming and Galvatron already released, Hot Rod is a logical addition to the line.

Especially because he'd look pretty cool with Hastak's Metroplex or Unicron.

I'm hoping every character who was in the old WST line shows up in this EW line.

I do wish there was a toy version OP with black windows and yellow eyes. Something similar to the Soundwave released with the black Galvatron.
