Wu has referenced the reissues on his Weibo, in particular a "toy" version but never gave much detail besides the inclusion of roller and the axe.

 

Ah shit I should've known better... I forgot how Wu loves to make us purchase the same figures over and over again, LOL!!!     He could've simply given us upgrade kits but now I'm gonna have to buy these damn figures all over again LOL!!!! Man I've literally got tears in my eyes because this shit is so hilarious. I gotta admit though the man knows how to squeeze a penny outta ya. Oh man this is too funny.

EDIT: Oh man Dr. Wu is a genius... He basically went the opposite route of the Masterpiece figures... Where the Masterpiece Line sells a hundred huge figures for a thousand dollars a piece, Dr. Wu sells a thousand tiny figures for a hundred dollars per piece... He needs to change his name to Dr. Wallet because that's what I'm handing over to him, LOL. Ahh man gotta love it.

 

I would prefer to get a reissued Nemesis Prime from ShowZ than eBay, but if that's the route I gotta go, so be it.

Just gift the old version to someone to get another person hooked on the Wu. <3

 

Gift my ass, LOL...  I've already got plans on selling the old versions at a discounted price in order to help fund the purchasing of the newer versions  ...

 

Yesterday got my Prime Commender Toxic Limited. He's very good, all joints are tight, paint job is excellent and axe is wonderful. Also it's my first experience with Roller. May as well buy him for my G1 and SG Primes.

 

FFS, i can't believe these are all being reissued and now including roller and a new axe accessory. also it looks like at the same price point, or maybe even less than the initial release without these.  

luckily i bought only the one main prime and didn't bother with roller. but sorry for those who went all in and bought multiple versions, and bought all the roller accessories to go with each of them.  

 

I appreciate your kind words and sentiments, lol... I am in fact one of those unfortunate collectors who purchased a roller for each one of my Prime iterations. I called Wu out on these types of tactics but it seemed as if no one was bothered. I myself think it's sort of shady to do business like this. Why not just give us the option to purchase an optional add-on kit consisting of both the axe and Roller? Why make us buy all of these figures all over again?

 

How the heck did you paint something so small with such precision???

 

Saw this on Weibo. Hope it is true, I could skip the re-release with Roller and the ax if it is a sure thing.

 

What does that mean? What is a "vest"? And he's not mentioning a Roller. I'm glad to see someone calling him out on that though.

 

Vest is what people on Weibo have been using when referring to Ultra Magnus.

 

Wow so we have to buy Ultra Magnus in order to get a free axe? One single axe for free? What about Roller? So that's Wu's response to him being called out on his selling tactics? He recommends that we buy more stuff from him?  

 

I mean, Roller did get released in a grey/blue two pack.

As for the axe, I'm guessing he's assuming most people who got Prime would probably but Magnus as well. NGL, I'd rather him make a mini box set that had weapons for everyone.

Now the question is.. will Magnus get his own axe along with Prime's?

 

Yeah but these new sets have Rollers that are more compatible with certain figures... Shattered Glass Prime gets an orange colored axe and a purple colored Roller whereas Nemesis Prime gets a red axe along with a custom colored grey Roller unlike the original matte grey Roller.

EDIT: The 2-pack grey/blue Roller isn't compatible with every version of Prime... There were only four options of Roller to choose from. The white roller is only compatible with Ultra Magnus and the gold roller is made for gold Prime. That left us trying to pair the other versions with either the blue or grey Roller and those colors don't match with every version. But now there's a purple Roller for Purple Prime but we must purchase the entire figure all over again in order to get it. This sux azz...

 

Ah ok. I just assumed the grey and blue matched since I've left them in the trailers for the longest time. I didn't even remember there was a gold/white set.

 

Yeah there are four colors of Roller available to purchase on eBay. He gave us multiple colors to choose from but he could've went further and gave us more options, like a black Roller for example. He should be selling the newer colors of Roller in the same fashion as the first four colors but instead he's using his former tactics and trying to force us to double-dip on his figures.

These are the instances where I truly don't mind seeing someone's pieces get knocked off... Heck I'm thinking of casting some clear axes in various colors my darn self. I can spray paint a couple of his grey Rollers and save some money.

 

FYI, roller fits perfectly on MFT Huge Dragons track. (Omega Supreme) the grey one even matches him and the exosuit that comes with him

Ahh shit!!! Why did you have to show this... Now that I know this newer version has a slightly different color scheme from the original it puts a wrench in my plans of selling the original sets in order to finance the newer ones.

I was under the impression that these newer sets were the exact same as the original only they now included an axe and roller, but since they are different I must now keep the originals for collection's sake. Darn you Dr. Wu, I might as well just give you my dang-on debit card...
