To be clear if the machine TL isn't, these are split into two pairs the same way the regular decos are with G2 Ramjet and SG Cosmos together.

 

Dumb question, are these the first SG deco aside from Prime? So hyped but don't really plan to use them a SG tho.

 

Thats correct to my knowledge. Though, I'd love to see more - SG Starscream and Thundercracker are easy repaints to do. SG Blaster and Soundwave would be a good pairing as well.

Not sure how I feel about Limeade Thrust and Orangeade Dirge though. It's not that they look bad or anything I just don't know if I want them.

Definitely in for G2 Ramjet and SG Cosmos. Might eventually sell that Cosmos though...

I don't want the other seekers, it feels like I have too many as it is.

 

The problem is there has never been an official appearance of Shattered Glass Ramjet and Thrust. So we have no idea what colors they should be.

There was a non-canon appearance in the Transformers: Mosaic comic. Thrust was teal and Ramjet was orange (modeled after a Ramjet KO).



This is the KO toy that inspired Mosaic SG Ramjet.


SG Decepticon Jets who appeared in official fiction are Dirge, Hotlink, Skywarp, Slipstream, Starscream, Sunstorm and Thundercracker.

Dirge has Beast Wars Second Thrust colors.
Hotlink is colored like SG Skywarp
Skywarp is also colored like Cybertron Thundercracker
Slipstream is colored like Windblade
Starscream is colored like Jetfire
Sunstorm is Sunstorm colors
Thundercracker is Action Master Thundercracker colors

That's a good catch! I forgot his color scheme in Armada. The greens not a perfect match for the toy or cartoon, but it makes more sense than I originally thought.

I couldn't find any references for a green G1 Thrust but I'm just happy in general to see him finally get a repaint. To my knowledge there hasn't been any repaints of G1 Thrust which is a shame because there's so much potential there. How about a color change to those propellers?

 

As posted earlier by @Scaleface, the green/dark grey Thrust is based on the Armada series. Armada Thrust was a dark grey jet (with a VTOL) that transformed into a green and light grey robot (with a conehead).

There's also the BWII series in which a Dirge (blue jet with grey robot parts) and a Thrust (yellow and black jet/robot) featured. Sadly, the yellow/black Thrust deco was transplanted for some reason to SG Dirge, but else I'd always considered those deco's potential G2 repaints.

 

Yeah that Armada Thrust was the closest that I could find to a reference when searching for a green Thrust but after looking at him closely I felt that it was a bit of a stretch, but I guess he is modeled after that figure. Good enough of a reason for Wu to justify another repaint I guess lol...

On the one hand, I'm really glad they're doing all these repaints, because seekers are my crack. On the other hand, I kinda hate it, because, well, seekers are my crack. Like folks here know I have all the NA, MS, and IF ones, I can't believe I'm on the hook for a 4th mini line. But I've been limiting myself to going on all out on Legends scale and below. Well, that's not true, I guess voyager scale and below, because I have all the WFC to current seekers as well.

But I'm really trying to stop myself from getting the Maketoys Coneheads when they come out since it'll be a struggle to figure where to put those. At least these are tiny enough to fit somewhere on my shelves.
