Another updated Gobot added to my ranks, this time one that's been planned for a while but sitting on the back burner while I worked on other projects. I started with an RiD Wedge and removed Landfill's head, Wedge's head and feet, and the blade hinge pins. I then carved out some of the material from behind the blade, and 3D printed a new head and lower torso.

Transformation is similar to before: head, arms, waist, and legs all unfold the same way. The biggest difference is that now the dozer blade gets unplugged from the treads and plugs into the holes in the gray panels on his legs (where the lift cylinders attach in tractor mode) to form his shins and feet.

It's not an entirely smooth fix. Due to the angle of the dozer blade, he only looks right with his feet apart. Also his hands can't be swapped, so they're on backwards. Tractor mode is missing the little filler panels behind the sides of the hood, but I don't mind the look and they were far more helpful in a totally different project.

You know, if you don't care that he won't role, you could swap his entire arms to get the fists the right way around

Wedge was always a nice little mold, glad to see him get reused like this.

    Thanks, guys!

Unfortunately, that would also lose the pegs that hold the treads in place in tractor mode. Since they're on ball joints I could just swap the arms for robot mode then swap them back for alt mode, but the hands are mostly hidden so it doesn't bother me too much to have them backwards.

I genuinely enjoy most of the Car Robots/RiD figures, even the unsuccessful ones were unique in what they were trying to do.
