Doubt I'll ever finish this guy. So far I think he's turned out alright. God knows I've never finished anything I've started on! He looks decent enough as is to display so he'll probably stay like that for a bit. His head is just held on with twist ties although I think it will be relatively easy to fit the mini-con head into the neckjoint on Prowl.

Sorry for the crap pictures. I don't have a camera. I can't afford one because I spend all my money on toys!!

Hopefully somebody well versed in kitbashing can take this idea and run with it seeing as Sideways is one of the few truly awesome characters to come out of the Unicron trilogy.

Maybe you could try to add a little screw on each minicon head and a rare earth magnet on the neck socket :)

Otherwise, looks great! miles better than the craptastic armada mold anyway :)

It's an oversized KO. Pretty good quality reproduction of the RobotMaster molds.

I was actually thinking of using a magnet. If I can find a screw small enough I might. What would be really cool would be to articulate Rook and Crosswise although they're quite a bit small for the bike.

I also thought about trying to find a way to remove the individual mini-con robot modes so that I could use them as helmets while still retaining their combined form. Way too complex for my skills though.

Do you think the head fits the body in person? From the pics it looks good.

The head actually fits the body really well. Rook looks a bit off in my opinion, but I don't think that has to do with size so much as the shape of the mini-con. I didn't really like the black head on the original figure either (not that anything else on the original figure was overly impressive). I was pretty shocked at how much a few paint apps on the faces made the figure look so much better. If I get a chance I'll try to take some more crappy photos with the Rook attached.

I always saw sideways as a mysterious ninja-esque type character so the Animated Prowl body seemed like a perfect fit.

Thanks for all the compliments. I actually feel a bit motivated to work on this figure now!
