I'm glad everyone hates this so much. Hopefully that means I'll be able to get one for a good clearance price sooner than later.
Unless Fans Project whips up a trailer (do ittttt.. do ittttt) for Buster Prime before this is out, I'll buy it, get the Reprolabels kit, and like it.
Combined mode looks a little iffy but I'll wait until someone gets on in-hand. Aside from the truck nose arms, The regular Prime doesn't look all that bad.
Is this a Takara DoTM toy or some sort of custom job?
I need that.
Until Takara say otherwise that's been cancelled and will never be released.
he;s already gone to the well of allspark! next!!!!!! OWH! and one more. this is looks like a butterfly effects we all experiencing right now!. hahhaha
The ONLY saving grace this could ever possibly have is that the trailer is in scale with an exisiting version of Prime to display in alt mode. Even then, what a gigantic waste of money.
But you might be getting a leader version of it from Takara anyway, so don't sweat it.
That PoS wouldn't even be recognized in our fandom, kthxbai. : |
Has Hasbro lost their minds?
I had hoped for a trailer usable w/ Masterpiece Op, even if it had to be modded, but this doesn't even look functional w/ the Prime it goes w/!
About the only thing close to decent is trailer mode. & really, how hard is it to make a box on wheels?
Why couldn't they just make a decent trailer to release for & combine w/ RotF Leader Prime? That's the best representation of Movie Prime, why change it? He does have that hitch area already.
& this one claims to have a battle platform mode, but I'm afraid of what that looks like... Have to wonder why it wasn't included in the pics?
& seriously, the first movie Prime had better arms than either mode.
I'm sure everything has been said already, but it really bothers me the trailer isn't in scale in vehicle mode. It's way too big and makes the tractor look mashed. I'm astounded how much everyone's crying already, but I guess that's what transformers fans do. Does anybody else remember how atrocious Jetfire/Prime was? We managed to mod some pretty good stuff out of that mess of parts and I'm sure we'll do it again.
Though, it utterly baffles me that Fansproject and TFClub can make much better trailer armor and devastators. Too bad they don't have the budget and licensing.
Man, I have not seen this much hate in a long time. I think such a widespread reaction from the fans warrants a Sound-Off poll.
having another look at the pic I like the bot mode, trailer is kinda pointless though and the combined mode is boring, reminds me of a windmill.
Toy design has come pretty far since Pants Prime. I'd be surprised if he's not at least this articulated:
That's sarcasm, right?
The only problem I have with the standard robot mode it the forearms. I mean, Prime's legs are really accurate, but they just proceeded to drop the ball with the truck arms. I hope it's just a mistransformation.
Super mode look actually nice in my opinion. The arm, waist, and leg armor looks awesome, except for the struts connecting everything. If they restrict the legs, cutting them will probably negate it.
Hey, it looks a lot nicer that way! Now that I look at this, it seems the butterfly wings undermine the rest of the armor.
The bulky lower arms prime without the trailer attached is obviously transformed incorrectly, it actually happens alot on these images
-Legs are actually less accurate than ROTF Leader Prime, far too skinny, and look like they have very minimal articulation. The only thing that is more accurate are the wheels on the thighs. That's it.
-Torso is just far too long and the details aren't even accurate.
Nothing can save the combined mode.
-It has no feet, just flat panels acting as feet. It's completely hollow around the ankles. You go from this heavy detailed lower leg to this thin, hollow foot that has no articulation.
-To top it off, the panels on the side of the leg armor go almost up into his armpit region, making it look like he's using crutches.
