you'd imagine this "epic reveal" of these pics should at LEAST be from a good angle.
Does anyone at Hasbro know what armour is? Because this isn't really it.
Hasbros smoking good Stuff!
Wow, that looks... umm...
Honestly, I don't know what I think of it yet.
Yeaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh NO. Especially for $80.
It comes with his trailer, so I'll buy it.
That is...underwhelming. *sigh* Honestly, if it wasn't for the arms, I'd really like it.
>Large plates that cover parts of the main body to protect it
No...no that's armor. The execution is a bit lacking, but that's armor, mang.
Good detail on the legs, it's just a shame that the trailer parts all seem connected by those long struts. Looks like they were trying to avoid parts forming at all costs.
How can Hasbro get those Prime toys so right and the DOTM toys so wrong?! (shaking fist in anger!)
for right now this one looks better than the dotm prime but not as awsome as the voyager hftd prime. i would like to see this trailer with the hftd prime
asstacular. Welcome to the clearance aisle, enjoy your [long] stay.
I will reword that... Does anyone as Hasbro know what DECENT armour is, ie. protecting vital areas whilst still letting you move?
Trailer looks good, but that combined mode makes him look like a robo angel or something. Nothing like in the Super Bowl spot.
It looks mistransformed. I REALLY hope it is...
It would seem not.
Horrible likeness, the transformation is so idiotically basic it makes you wonder if parents were complaining that ROTF Optimus Prime (Which is almost 100% accurate in all regards, and also one of the most brilliantly engineered toys ever made) was too complicated. Ya know, because getting lil' Timmy to actually get his brain to work would be far too much to expect your average American child.
The combined mode isn't even worth commenting on, basically panels folding, leaving heavy empty areas, not even attempting to look like it's supposed to be part of the figure.
I've been defending some previous figures, but this, this is a joke.
To think, it would have been as simple as re-molding ROTF Prime, adding pegs to connect the trailer pieces to, and actually engineering a well thought out trailer.
Oh well, we have ROTF Prime.
Meh. Looks like a wannabe Gundam and the ridicolous sized arms are putting me off. I'll wait till a proper transformation.
