I got sick of the lack of paint on the deluxe sideswipe so, like many others decided to give him a makeover, this was also my first repaint too and I'm quite happy how it turned out! I used a metallic silver spray for the car and main leg parts and brushed on the gunmetal robot bits, and used a red and white paint marker to get the badge on the bonnet painted. Hope you enjoy!

i did do a bit of experimenting with the paints and such on the legends and a spare deluxe sideswipe but yeah the first fully completed one! I hope to have a go at doing some more soon!

there's less chance to scratch the hood against the trunk piece that way, I find. ;)

First repaint? Holy crap! Nicest vehicle mode of Sideswipe's I've seen yet! That silver is awesome!

    [update]

    [UPDATE]
I watched dotm again yesterday and noticed the exposed exhaust pipes on sideswipes back and decided to experiment a bit!
I picked up a cheap indoor antenna to cut up and use.
They are temporarily held in place with blu tac (plasticine) but I intend to fasten them together in a row and pick up some small magnets. Drop one into the pipes themselves and one into the reverse side of the figures exhaust as they are hollow, and that will allow them to detach for vehicle mode and maybe even store inside somewhere! let me know what you think!
