*11/1/2011 UPDATED PICS HERE At bottom of the page*

I found another DOTM SS in my junker box and decided to get to work on another conversion after what I learned on my first attempt. Again, this is non-transformable, but I can live with that :)  I fixed the foot problem I had with the first one thanks to an old Gundam model I had laying around, adjusted the shoulders and narrowed the hips a bit more. I also cut the "bull horns" off the hips for a more narrow look. here are the results sans the head.

Man, if you finish two of these Arcee's before I finish my original one... :thumbs2:

    I actually did some work on mine today, a bit of a P I T A
trying to get those shoulders to come in a little bit. Think
    I got it though.

What happened to your first one? I thought it ended up nice.
but the last photos weren't the finished work yet?

Oh I still have the first one, but it's a "2 footer", Looks great till you get two feet from it then you see the flaws lol, the paint work on it was total slag. I basically used it for a mock up and idea tester, the new one will be a final proof. let me know when you get some pics up of yours, I would love to see the progress you've made :)

I noticed on my pics, the left hip sticks out further, guess I'll have to break it and trim it up to be even with the right one.

I'm curious how you guys are narrowing the shoulders and retaining the transformation, the mold has got some potential for sure

You'll have to ask Vidmouse about that one Ultramagnus2008, mine is a non transformable one :(

Well the paint is almost finished, I made a custom Enamel/Acrylic hybrid pink with great coverage and durability. Still need to do ALLOT of touch up here and detail there but for the most part the mods are done on her :)  Thoughts?

Nice! I really like the feet mods.
    Since she's a non-transformer now, you could
probably remove the wheels on her hands

    thumbsup tannim.

Any chance you can go all the way and make his arms and hands look more feminine? (I agree with what vidmouse said)

    Thanks guys :)

I thought about removing the wheels on her but the more I look at her, I like the wheels on the arms. I get a G1/Energon/IDW feel from her (even tho I really don't like the Energon Arcee) I wish I had the skills to have made her transformable but I just don't...yet :)  maybe the next couple of prototypes down the line and I'll get to where I can do some serious customs :)

MY Total envy and props to ALL the modders here on the site! It's guys and girls here that inspire me to take up an exacto and modlers saw and start chopping!

Hey all! well I decided to look into f-primusunicron's thoughts on Arcee's knees, I took her legs apart and broke out the Exacto. here is the parts taken apart and what I trimmed, as well her with her new improved bendy knees! :)  Really apologize for the last pic quality.

Did some more work on her (I'll get her done yet!) Added ALLOT More articulation to the knees (see pic 1) I also removed the wheel, trimmed, painted and added some parts from a sidearm sideswipe that was scrap (I hated the large void on her arms after the wheel removal) The knee was allot easier than I thought, tho I had to sacrifice some of the seats to do it (ah well) Still some detail, touch up and clean up on the paint to go :)

This is looking really cool. I like the hotter pink, I may have to do that to mine.

Hard to say. The only thing I can think of is to make them more slender and cylindrical but w/ those arms you're better off swapping for another set if you want to try that. I think it looks pretty good the way it is. If it were me the only thing I might do is swap the gun that looks closer to what she had in the movie at the end (shooting Unicron's intestine-things)

Funny you should mention that Vid lol I'm doing some 3d primitives work for guns on poser to do on shapeways, just not sure how to get it to where the post/handle is 5mm on them. Working on a wipe for Arcee's TFTAM gun as we speak.

This looks great but I'd suggest changing the hands. Great work though!

Ok, update # 1,223,28....Aww hell I lost count lol. Well took ya'lls advice and changed out the hands...as well as the lower arms. took the forearms of a DOTM Bumblebee and cut the hands off and shaved them down as much as I could, plastic allowing, to a more "feminine" look. The surprising bonus is the arms have Incredible amounts of movement now. I Found some old gundam hands from a very small one and mounted them on the stumps and slapped some paint on them. I still need to sand them down but i wanted to get some pics of progress up. I also popped some wheels on her "wings", She may not transform but I can give the illusion she can :)
