The only thing that gives me doubts that that is the mainline voyager Prime is that it doesn't fit the aesthetics of the other voyagers we've already seen, namely Megs and Ironhide. While their vehicle modes are very screen accurate, this Prime is not, particularly behind the cab. Other then that, all signs do point to voyager.

 

No, there isn't. I looked closely. What people are saying are "Leader" boxes are the cards for deluxe blister packaging. There are no leader boxes on that display.

 

Yeah, I realized that not too long ago when taking a second look.

 

So far, these look pretty awful. I hope that there is improvement in what actually comes out in a few months versus these shitty looking first looks.

You know, I believe you are right. Good eye. Those are infact meant to be Deluxe cards. The thing that threw a lot of us off is that they're represented as boxes. A detail that's not uncommonly seen on some retail planograms.
I actually have some slight experience working in retail, I should have caught that.

Perhapse that is in fact a Voyager Bumblebee. Which is kind of an odd choice, given from what we've seen of the new Voyager Prime, he'd probably not really be all that much bigger then a Deluxe.

 

It better be a voyager, they should save the leader slots for better characters like the obvious Prime and Megs, and of course the ever so awesome Shockwave.

 

Maybe movie shockwave wont be that great a character either.

 

The proportions on the new deluxe 'Bee certainly seem nicer than the Battle Blades mold, which always seemed unappealingly skinny to me. Other than a few extra paint apps (mostly in the legs) this one looks like it could be a real winner (and, therefore, a purchase).

Not liking the idea of a leader Bumblebee (presuming, of course, this isn't an extensive remold of the Battle Ops) but I won't complain so long as we get an awesome leader Megatron and at least one of Shockwave's toys is suitably awesome.

 

Looking at this figure (I cant wait to get my hands on it) I see Human Alliance size class. (Mega)

See....now THAT's what I"m talking about. That back-of-box pic of Megatron. I don't care if he's a truck and trailer...he looks BADASS. I love the wasteland wanderer look that he has!

 

It's a decent tease of the upcoming movie line. Legends prime and leader class? Bumblebee look ok.

 

Hmm... Well, I certainly hope the pictures are worse than the actual figures... Regardless, I'll only be getting the bots I need to complete the movie cast and the rest will go towards Prime toys when they finally arrive.  

 

How were these images obtained?

 

Allegedly they were supplied by a wholesaler to an online retailer.

 

I think the reason for the changes in Primes chest are because of changes in the movie.

 

Just found out the skirt package on BB is the new dress package on the 2011 Camaro Z28.

It explains the choice they made for movie.

 

I posted this on page 20, but I don't think anyone saw it, so I will post it again. Those of you with keen eyes take a look at the "voyager" prime box and then look at the figure. The picture on the box and that figure we are shown are not the same from what I can tell. Look Closely.

Here is what I wrote the first time:
So I get that linked site claims that the Optimus Prime is in fact a voyager. However, the picture on the box in vehicle mode and the vehicle mode of that Optimus do not look like they are the same mold/toy. Take a closer a look. I understand some have seen this toy on the Cardboard out of box and believe its a Voyager and that may very well be the case, but that voyager box with prime in vehicle mode does not look like the toy we are seeing. Just a thought.


Edit: Differences I see, red on the back of the truck box versus blue on the back of the truck toy, front of toy pictured on the box looks like a different mold than that toy. There are few others but it could be the blur of the pic.

 

Yeah, but the vehicle mode pictures on the front of the box are artwork, not photos of the actual toy. You can see this in the photos of Megatron's box.
