Here is my latest custom weapon, the DOTM optimus prime gun as seen in many posters ans the game cover (and obviously in the film ) , here are some comparison shots : and now some individual ones: (i must point out that some areas look rough but it is not as bad as it looks in hand, must be the light, ye blame it on the light )
very nice indeed ! I've made similar guns and I know how hard they are to do!! do you plan to add any weathering on it or keep it clean?
thank you, i did try and make it accurate , and obviously it worked , thanks guys no im going to keep it clean, partly cos i dont have the paints or skills to do something like that, and partly cos i want it to match the figure and if it is battle damaged it wont match as well wow ye that does look good, i like the rusted look to it thanks, unfortunatly i dont sell them it wass completely scratch build, nothing was used from other guns, it was all parts lying around in my garage
Looks great! I can identify some part on there I'm going to scratch build Prime's Jetwing armament eventually. Thanks for the inspiration! iDD
Wow. That awesome for just some parts lying around the garage. Excellent representation of Prime's gun.
thank u thats ok , glad to help thank u , i appreciate it, obviously i cut the parts to shape and such but ye they were all parts i had found u are deffinatly getting me intersted, how much did u sell them for
MY friend, would it hurt to make a tutorial for us?? also aren't you the guy that made ironhides guns from the game????
yes, i am the guy who made the ironhide guns from the game youve seen them i guess thanks About a tutoruial, there is no set order in making them so i wont make a proper tutorial thread with pics and stuff cos it is different with each gun. what i do though for each gun is look for a good pic for it on the web, one where i can see it clearly from different angles i look at the pic carefully and see what i could use for certain parts on it then i collect the parts most suited for the job i cut/sand/holepunch if neccecary then glue them with this loctite glue it works instantly and i reccomend this when all is dry and finished i then spray it with a silver model spray paint to give it a metalic look , i would like to get a gun metal grey on but i cant find one i hope tis helps , and i kno i may have not done some things the right way but it has worked well for me
