Hey fellas,

Decided to pick up an extra Sentinel over the weekend and felt like customizing him when i stood him next to another customized one i have on my home office shelf but this time around wanted him to look extra clean so I airbrushed him with a dark gloss red enamel which gives him a lot of color and depth and really stands out. Some dry brushing and shadows, etc.

Changed the usual red eyes to blue led's and gave him as many details as i could find on the Rosenbauer Panther Fire truck used in the movie including all the decals and stenciled numbers on the vehicle and the character. Two good coats of liquid clear and this bad boy is ready to roll right out of the Auto Body and repair shop.

He looks really cool and sharp especially next to a customized Sentinel with battle damaged and worn look because of the contrast between the two.

Very nicely done! The one critique I would have is the autobot logo on the doors, but that is minor my friend. You should be proud of this!

The Autobot logo on the door was the closest i could find that resembled the logo the real truck has.

impressive work. ive been hoping to get my sentinel movie accurate like this soon as he is halfway painted and LED powered by Koof  
But those stencils are the key. I tip my hat at how clean this looks and how proffessional it came out. This is my template for success  

 

Wow... that red! I wish I could get my enamels looking that good, I struggle with anything other than acrylics.

I stenciled out the numbers on transfer paper carefully with an xacto knife and placed them on the area, also placed masking tape all around it to ensure not overspraying even though i airbrushed the paint very carefully.
Instead of using the dull white color for the numbers on his side panels and legs; i used bright silver which actually gives the the numbers more impact and look so much better at least in my humble opinion.

I actually learned many techniques from pro customizers posting their work on these forums and on youtube.

Thanks again for the compliments. When i get receive kind words from pro customizers which i admire and get inspired from their own works of art, it just gives me more reason to keep learning and getting better at this little hobby of mine.

I left everything from factory, The only thing i changed on him were the lights to blue led's. I did cross my mind but i didn't want to mess around with the figure in order to avoid messing up the transformation mode.

He gave me a little struggle but i was pretty much able to get some amazing poses from the guy. Patience is a must though, lol.
