This was a quick, easy mod I did for a Classics Guzzle conversion I'm working on. It hides that nasty hollow gap in the bottom of the tank barrel and makes it look better overall. Sorry in advance for some blurriness in the pics. My camera is old and the macro sucks.

First, remove the barrel. It just pops off.

Next, grab your Dremel and install the 5/64" drill bit.

Now, we need to figure out where to drill. Wedge the connection point into the empty gap as far forward as it will go.

Now, mark underneath the connection bumps parallel with the holes. I recommend using a needle, because the soft plastic gave to much when I used an X-acto knife and this causes a problem we'll get to in a minute.

Now drill holes where you marked.

After you clean up the excess plastic, carefully cut a trench between the holes you just drilled and the connection holes.

Here's the problem I mentioned before. When I marked the cutting points with my knife, I nearly cut outward through the plastic. When I began cutting between the holes, the thin point tore. Super glue isn't flexible enough to bond this kind of plastic back, so be careful. Luckily, after bending the frayed section back into place, it stays on and works fine.

    Anyway, now you're finished!
