    UPDATES
    Build complete: Post #8
    First painting: Post #12
    Reprolabels: Post #16

My FB friend, Longhaul, hooked me up with a used DotM Crankcase. Since I already had one, I decided to make this one into Crowbar. It was perfect timing, because soon after I started pradhika indra posted a tutorial: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/radicons-customs/686926-tutorials-crowbar-dotm-crankcase-dlx.html.

I've followed the tutorial really closely. I'm going to take him home from work soon to start adding apoxie sculpt, sanding, painting, and finally applying the Reprolabel set for Crankcase. I wanted to post some pics to get any advice I can before going onto these next steps. Thanks!

That face sculpt,, now THAT'S crowbar. For accuracy you could make his dreads come out of his back vertically, but I don't know if you are up for such challenge.

Thanks! I just took the original Crankcase head and cut it down quite a bit. then I added some pieces from my junk box. The tusks are back spikes from a RotF Ravage, the two strips on the top of his head are from HftD leader Starscream thumbs, the two gray pieces on the sides of his head are from a RotF FAB Megatron, and the two black pieces below those... I have no clue :)

Yeah, I think I'll leave the dreads like they are now. I don't think there would be enough room to make them different... at least not for me :)

    Thanks guys!

Thanks! When I first started this I used some small chain left over from other projects for the dreads. But when I saw pradhika's tutorial I looked at some pics of Crowbar from the movie. Sure enough, they really do look a lot like zippers!

I don't currently have any plans for a Hatchet, but if I stumble upon another cheap Crankcase toy I'll have to try one...

    Thank you!

EDIT: Added first pics to this post...

very awsome job, you did better custom than i. i like the twist on crowbar shoulder, its good idea... and you can make the head more accurately. now you can add the gun and spine stick. :)  maybe my custom hatchet is inspiring you, it is simple as crowbar... but sorry no tutorials there

Definitely, it was a lot of fun!

    Thanks!!!

Thanks, I couldn't have done it without you! Your customs are what have inspired me to use twist ties on mine!
A FB friend is going to send me a deluxe Crankcase and a Cyberverse Hatchet. I plan to use those to make a deluxe Hatchet :)

I painted him last night. I'll probably paint him some more again later on, but I was pretty happy with the amount I got done, so I brought him back to work to display! I'm thinking of painting his eyes red so they show up better, but I usually try not to cover light piping...

I also modded his hands since my first pics. I wanted it to look like he had more fingers, like the CGI model does. First I shaved the middle claw stub and cut his "pinkies" down the middle. I wasn't satisfied, so I furthered the pinkie cuts all the way through the hand, cutting off a small chunk. I then glued those back on but offset a little bit, so now it looks more like another finger...

How did you make that gun, or is it from another transformer

    Reprolabels

Thanks Allen! I just added some Reprolabels to him... If anyone needs some DotM Barricade Reprolabels, I've got extras!
I also added a few spare light stickers from the leader Sentinel Prime Reprolabels to my Crankcase (got the idea from UltraMagnus2008).
