This post is surely useless because what are the chances that Paramount actually releases a directors cut with added robot scenes?? Well, in the meantime, who'd like to own one?
I was under the impression that scenes were shot with Skids and Mudflap getting killed that were just not included in the theatrical version. I for one would buy the director's cut to see them get blown to bits.
Director's cut's are usually released when the director had disagreements or couldn't have his way when making the theatrical version. I'm 99% sure Michael had complete freedom with making DotM. So basically what we got is the directors cut...
I doubt he puts the deleted scenes in since he probably doesn't want to give people any more reason to bash him once again for having the Twins in it initially. From what's been said about the Twins' roles in movie, it would only add like a 10-20 seconds to the whole movie so it would be kind of nice to see.
If it has any of these scenes, I'm so in: Megatron killing the elephant The novel ending Skids and Mudflap dying More Shockwave More Que
Personally I'd like to see scenes of them dying, but we'd probably only get oddly colored test footage of them.
Except one with Sentinel Prime. However, that scene was just him talking to Sam about some intellectual jibber jabber and was cut since the test audience had no clue as to what the fuck he was talking about.
I'd like that BK commercial to make it to the home release, that would be great. But sadly we might get nothing more than just a ton of interviews from actors on the 2nd disc.
Even if they put the twin's death scenes in there and they're untextured pre-render models I wouldn't mind. I just want to see them get murderized.
Wait, what? I don't remember hearing about this. Anyway, I just plain love behind the scenes stuff, so I'd love animatics, storyboards, plans of discarded scenes, anything. As has been said, there is practically ZERO chance of new scenes being made for the DVD/BR release, however, anything that was made but just cut could be fair game. Naturally, it'll likely be human scenes but I would accept robot scenes with low-res models or some other type of placeholder just to learn more. The same way, I'd love to see some cut lines and improvised scenes the voice actors did. Hell, I'd just like to see Peter Cullen's face when he says "We will kill them all."
yes, Yes, and YES. I want to see video from the recording sessions. 2 hours please I'd love to see the VA's saying their lines un modulated. And Nimoy doing his voice for Sentinel as well.
This was actually true once upon a time. For the last decade or so it's mostly just been used as a marketing tool. Lot's of movies now have "director's cuts". Unfortunately, these days that description just tends to scare me.
Proving that the average public are idiots. I want that scene! Sentinel and Sam had no interaction, whatsoever!!
