So, on the Foundry level, I THOUGHT I had cleared everything out until a big demon (not sure what it's called) jumped over the rail from nowhere and pounded me into the ground. I was playing in the dark, so that scared the hell out of me. LOL If you run out of shotgun shells, you might as well be spitting at it. Screw the reviews! I'm really having fun with this game, and that's all that matters.
just beat the game and holy fucking shit is this so fucking good!!! last time i had this much fun in a FPS was MAG on ps3 before servers were shutdown and that was 6 years ago. and before that, you guessed it, Turok. i made friends in clan i was in and we still go on trying out other FPS and other multiplayer games. now that that is done i'm gonna replay some levels for items i didn't pick up. so when is ok to speak about stuff in DOOM without spoiling it to some people?
At least a week I'd say. I've been taking my time going thru the game, only on the Destroyed Argent Facility.
Is that the Spoiler Foundry level after finding the yellow keycard when the big Hellknight appears? Yeah, that was surprising considering I was facing the other way and all of a sudden the ground shook and he took a swipe at me. I should've known better. Yeah, I haven't had a lot of time to play and just finished the Argent tower last night. But just put things in spoiler tags for a while. I'm glad it's getting good reviews. I'm liking it so far and everyone seems to be enjoying the campaign. This is good for a reboot that will only bring new games every few years or so (Doom 5 or 2?).
Ok, got it. i'll give it a week. i'm hoping for GAME OF THE YEAR edition with all DLCs so not only am i going to missions to get items but also upgradeing my weapons and the Praetor Suit. some mastery upgrades on weapons are easy. others are gonna be a hassle to get.
That ending just leaves you wanting more! I would love it if they give us single player DLC in the future. But some how I doubt it. Loved this so much. If this meant to be the first game in a new Doom series, then bring it on Bethesda! I found the lore very interesting. It's a perfect mix of Sci-Fi and... What would you consider the Hell setting, Fantasy? And who is that deep voice that narrates the Slayer Testaments? The Devil himself? Well I'm going to have to go back, missed quite a few things. I found all Argent Cells, all but one Mod Drone, and I missed about four Rune Trials. Got to find a few more Preator tokens, everything else is challenges and secrets.
a voice actor named Piotr Michael. the role in DOOM is called The Origin/The Demonic Voice. he was also in Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as various characters. Final Fantasy Type-0 as King of Concordia and in Darksiders as Blademaster.
Finished this a few days ago. I can't remember the last time I was actually captivated by an FPS...like, eyes glued to the screen, relishing every glory kill and combo kills, unlocking those awesome secrets, reading all ingame texts, finding easter eggs like elder scrolls references...The campaign is the perfect length if you try and finish everything (20-30 hrs). Spoiler THEN, you can replay all classic doom levels that you found from the secrets during the campaign! Freaking awesome.
another XB1 glitch. with the Super Shotgun, i killed a demon and one of its legs slowly floated away as if someone turned on the antigravity. the rest of the body just disappeared as soon as the leg was doing its thing. Spoiler do every level have a retro room? besides the last level.
Find the automap to help you get an idea of where they are. They all require the same kind of lever to unlock.
I've gotten the anti-gravity glitch quite a few times actually, whether it's enemies floating for some reason or even containers kind of wobbling continuously. I think it's a bug in the game engine.
Yeah, I think that's it. I finally figured out how to beat those guys consistently. One is a pain in the ass, but two? All of you guys are WAY ahead of me. I'm on the level where that Spoiler screaming, teleporting, fireball shooting demon, she-bitch appears. I haven't had too much of a problem taking her down.
i got every thing but 1 of the elite guards praetor key thingy. unfortunately for me at the moment, my XBL and my psn ended so i can't play the multiplayer. but from what i'm hearing, i'm not missing much. i'm still gonna renew soon to play with friends online. i'm going with the 12 months subscription.
I usually just use the rocket launcher to roast off those guys. Or the super shotgun, but then you have to get close and they're a lot more animated and jumpy than before. Spoiler And I hate the Summoner, or, the new Arch-vile. Not only does she (he?) summon a crapload of demons constantly, she's (he's?) hard to hit. And I'm in your boat, buddy. Haven't had too much time to play. I just finished the Argent Tower. The levels are sometimes too big to start later at night if I want to properly explore.
the good thing about beating DOOM is Spoiler everything you got sticks with you. want to use the BFG in the first level? easy peasy. so that question on what is your favorite weapon? little different but, which weapon in your arsenal has the most kills? my super shotgun has over 1500 kills.
