https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NteAPGprDJk New Doom game got announced last night during E3 and I honestly think that out of everything Bethesda talked about, this is my personal favorite; because it looks so badass!
I'm surprised at how LIGHT it is, compared to Doom 3. That's surprising and awesome. I hoped some of the demon designs would be a little more inspired by the originals (like the Barons of Hell) but so far it looks pretty good. I like the Revenant.

Looks sick! Welcome back to Hell.. I should hopefully have a new gaming rig next year.. And Doom "4" looks like a must for testing out the new machine.
better to wait for a well made game with very little glitches than a early released game with a cluster-f*** of glitches.
Very true. But another DOOM has been a long time coming. Hopefully it's everything it looks like it will be.
Well, they say Q1/Q2 so I'm hoping for a spring release at the latest. They've been working on this game for a while; it's already been reported the game got stuck in developmental hell and was rebuilt from the ground up a couple of years ago. Carmack likes to constantly tinker on his engines. Seeing the E3 footage was awesome and it got me psyched. It may not be groundbreaking for an FPS, but at the very least if it's a combination of Doom 3 and Doom/Doom II, taking the best attributes from all three, I'll be happy shooting the hell out of demons with my super shotgun.
I'm still looking forward to it because it looks awesome, but I'm a little worried that they completely rebuilt it after being stuck in development hell. The last two games that I remember being developed for over a decade were Duke Nukem: Forever and Aliens: Colonial Marines. We all know how those turned out. I am positive that it will be way better than those though.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybo30QlSk64 Looks like a lot of fun. Stupid, bloody and gory fun. But fun.
Looks like an actual Baron of Hell in that trailer and not those faceless Hell Knights running around in Doom 3. I miss the goat faces. It looks like they've been tweaking since E3 with more colorful Cacodemons and more color period. So we've got an official date of May 13th and they announced a special edition with an amazing 12" statue of a Revenant; depending on the price this needs to go on a shelf somewhere near me.
