Walmart-exclusive Wii bundle includes Wii Sports Resort -- Joystiq "Walmart just announced an exclusive Wii bundle, containing both Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, as well as the necessary MotionPlus attachment. It'll be available in stores today, and on Walmart.com this Sunday. There's no reason not to pick this one up instead of the normal Wii package: this new bundle sells for the same $199 price! According to Walmart, it'll only be available "while supplies last," which, given the history of the Wii platform, could be a surprisingly short time. Update: We were additionally informed by a Walmart representative that the bundle contains "[one] normal Wii console you would purchase -- comes with all the same components -- for $199, except that you're getting Wii Sports Resort (with the packaged Wii MotionPlus)." Still quite a deal!"
lol, my girlfriend wants a wii but I don't think we will ever get one. This bundle is already sold out in Austin according to the many walmarts in my area. Man, they are the rudest bunch of people ever.... I'm never calling walmart again because they made me feel terrible lol Walmart 1: "WE AIN'T GOT NO WII" click Walmart 2: "NO.... BYE" Walmart 3: "what was that? yeah we got some 360's bye..." Walmart 4: On hold for 10 minutes... then they hung up on me scumbags
This is a great bundle, if you do want a Wii. And they're technically not supposed to be out until Sunday, so it's not surprising that store were being dumb.
according to the article it was out on the 5th, people on slickdeals have already been purchasing these systems by the truck load (Damn scalpers) and walmart.com is suppose to have it instock today sometime.
They've had a pretty strict 2 per customer limit as far as I know, but it's not surprising to see some stores not caring.
Already have one but a good deal for those who don't. I wish I played mine more though. PS3 dominates my time too much.
