You and I are seeing things similar.
Here’s the thing: we are all looking at the same toys. These days, for me, Hasbro is the reason I’ve been going 3P. The nicest, most tactful thing I can say about PotP Rodimus is... ‘it’s not for me’.
But apparently it is for a good number of others. It’s beyond my understanding... but at the end of the day To Each His/Her own. Many adore these offerings- and it’s not a crime to do so.
People are buying what Hasbro is putting out; so therefore Hasbro will keep putting it out. It’s the future regardless of how much we may or may not like it.
For myself, I’m just glad for options- even if they are less scrupulous.
For others... let them enjoy. It’s ok for them to do so and, really, that’s what it’s all supposed to be about.

And if nobody likes an OP saying not to buy something then go start another thread telling everyone to buy it. It’s discussion on a discussion board.

Seriously guys, don't buy PotP Rodimus Prime! The first night after I took him out of the box, he came to life and tried to murder me! If it weren't for the also much maligned PotP Jazz also coming to life, I would have been a goner. Jazz came to my rescue and punched Rodimus out. Although Jazz's shoulders wouldn't let him throw a proper hook, he could uppercut just fine.

The only thing this thread has done is make me actually want the figure.

 

I think the only reason I don't want it is I have too many Hot Rods already. I sure am tempted by Rodimus Unicronus though.

 

The artist formerly known as Rodimus Cron. I may heed the aggressive title's message and not buy PotP Rodimus Prime but instead pick Cron up.

I just noticed the giant bags under G1 Rodimus's eyes. Between the eyes and his frown, that poor guy looks like he needs a hug. Or maybe some coffee.

 

...because why not? They're not even responding so it's not like we're "feeding the troll", plus it's kind of turned into a "POTP Rodimus appreciation thread", which I wholeheartedly approve of.
