Let the fans run the franchise and Transformers are ruined forever. Nobody wants a movie about obscure Minicons and Japanese exclusive Micromasters. Because that's what we would get from "fans".

And if the movie was all action then people would be saying they didn't spend enough time on plot and character development. Honestly your post makes you sound like some idiot teenager who plays X-box all day.

    Hey Clown,

We don't hate it because it isn't all robots, we hate it because it makes no sense.

Oh and the hour long set up of things that in the end didn't matter.

I would love a story about the military hunting down decepticons either with the original autobots or another small gang

can we at least get a decent and coherent story and plot, with well developed and expositioned characters that doesn't make what supposedly should be the main characters become the background characters?

The plot was simple and linear. If it didn't make sense to you, then nothing ever will.

by the way, has anyone answered yet why, supposedly Sentinel invented space-bridge technology, yet Jetfire had that ability to open a space-bridge in ROTF?

Man, this Murphy guy rubs me the wrong way. I mean, I know that there has always been massive amounts of haterade and rage thrown at the production crew ever since that image of Bumblebee was leaked and yeah I was one of the people who wasn't happy with the designs but I've realized that I probably shouldn't judge it based on concept art alone, but man the comments that this guy posts on his blog just seem unprofessional (but hey, it's the man's blog and he can do what he wants). I mean at the end of the day no matter what any fanboy says against it, this movie is gonna make a ton of movie and leave a lot of people satisfied with the triology, I mean isn't that enough? I don't see the point of these "Yeah, we made Transformers cool again, dumb hater fanboys suck how dare you say anything against them" posts with the movie already being out in theaters and making bank. I mean for those angry fanboys who commented on the movie it sounds like they were just listing their greviences with the movie...meaning that they have most likely payed to go see it in the theater (or not for some), art is a very critiqued subject and it's very much a matter of opinion/personal tastes. Personally I would like a reboot with a completely different staff along with new designs (sorry Josh Nizzi nothing personal but I'd like to see what a new robot designer would bring to the table) maybe like a "Infiltration" like story where the Autobots and Decepticons are already on Earth with alt modes and secret bases and stuff. Anyway that's my two cents.

Hmmm. while the plot isn't the hardest thing in world to grasp, I don't know that anyone could rightly call it coherent. At least with a straight face. :)

Sentinel invented the space-bridge technology, and expanded it into the experimental stage to use it on a planetary scale. Perhaps the original version of the tech was designed to be a "personal transporter" as such which Jetfire used.

You notice that Jetfire could only transport himself and a couple little people/bots along with him. And he also was straining to do it AND seemed beat when he was done. Sentinel definately had it down and used it like it was nothing. Sentinel probably had taught it to some of his pals but they obviously hadn't fully grasped the idea/methods the same way that Sentinel did. I doubt greatly that Jetfire had the ability to use the rods or even begin to figure out how to transport a planet.
