At this point, you really can't blame Fox on this one. They gave the show a chance (at least a greater chance than most shows they give), and few watched it. Sucks yeah, but this would have happened at any other network.
Rise of the zombie Dollhouse thread. rewatching this on Hulu. Love the show. The theme song is horrible and makes me think that was the downfall!
Omg I was just thinking about this the other day. I'm glad to know it's available on Hulu. I always like it and thought it got a bad rap.
I liked the show a lot, but I probably would have been fine with it ending with the season 1 finale. Season 2 was interesting, but that surprise heel turn of one of the main characters near the end felt false. If you have a secret evil mastermind, his big plan shouldn't seem so luck-based and out of his control. The season 2 finale was good, but maybe a little redundant and not as good as the first.
The show was trash, a naked attempt to clone Alias. Got what it deserved. Badly written and horribly cast.
I thought it was a really good show (though a lot more controversial now given the allegations against Whedon). But overall, I enjoyed it. It had some good action, incredible twists, and some outstanding performances from the cast. Of course I was disappointed in its cancelation as the concept of being wiped really had a lot more room for exploration as to what it means to be human.
Yeah, post-allegations and into the #metoo era, that Patton Oswalt episode in particular is a bit cringy.
Yeah, especially with how blasé he is about sleeping with Echo. Paul Ballard was pretty much right the whole time. Despite what the show tried to sell it as, the Dollhouse did in fact participate in human trafficking.
