As reported in this thread, Dollar Tree has some small non-transformable bots in G1 cartoon designs. They're branded as Prexio, but officially licensed. Him Grimlock cost $1, so no false advertising. Him Grimlock about 2" tall, which is small but not tiny. Him Grimlock have no articulation, but also no bozo. Only paint is red stripe and Autobot logo, and blue eyes. All is well painted. Molded detail also surprisingly crisp, with nice teeth and hand claws. Him Grimlock have sharp edges on dino feet. Him Grimlock have plastic that feel like should be rubbery, but only sort of is. Maybe him need slight boil and ice bath to straighten legs, but stands just fine anyway. Here is him Grimlock next to WST Dinorobots Commander. Here is him Grimlock next to MechFans Toys Grimlock. Here is him Grimlock next to NewAge Flippper. Flipper taller, and kind of jerk about articulation. Here is him Grimlock next to Flipper again, plus NewAge Manero and MechFans Toys Grimlock. Him Grimlock no bozo, him baby!
I picked up a set of these yesterday. Considering the same thing from the World's Smallest line is going for $13, these are a steal.
You can order them from Dollar Tree's website online, with free shipping to a store for pickup. However, the minimum is a full case of 50. https://www.dollartree.com/transformers-toy-figurines-2x0375x075-in/297419 If you have a couple buddies to split the cost with, this might be easiest. (And then have a knife fight for who gets to keep that stellar box). That's how I got my set. (And I won the knife fight.)
