When I purchased mine, the body won't fix in properly no matter what I do.

 

mine clips in fine, it can be a little loose but nothing major.

The best way to fix this is to unscrew the 3 screws holding the black piece where it snaps in, push forward as far as you can toward the bumper and screw them back in. It will tighten it up a bit.

so.......take the screws out, squeeze in as tightly as possible the piece they are holding in place then screw them back in?

 

Mine clicks in just fine!

... and then easily clicks right back out again whenever it feels like it.  

Doesn't seem to be a tight snap fit for the one I got, no.

Also, his ankles don't lock well and are floppy.

Dang good thing he's so awesome or I'd be annoyed.

mine only clicks out if I press the windshield. But that's ok.. it's easy enough to push back.

 

Unscrew them about halfway, push forward and screw them back in while still pushing forward.

 

Mine clicks in fine.

 

QC issues with the new figures already? Guess this is just the first of many threads like this that I'll run across.

 

Thanks Tigermask!!! I loosened just the front 2 screws a little, pushed the bumper inwards and held it while I re-tightened the screws and now he clicks in and stays put perfectly!

So it seems like people might have this issue with their ROTF Deluxe Sideswipes but fortunately it has a simple fix.

 

Mine does click in but comes out on its own occasionally. I thought I was going to looove this toy way more than sidways but I'm liking sideways menacing bot mode much more than this toys bot mode

 

Works like a charm for mine! The "push the windshield piece" trick doesn't do it for my Swipe but this is just exactly what I needed, thanks a bunch!  

 

my clicks and locks pretty good, but i had a hell of a time trying to bend the whole waist area to reach that hole. on the other hand my leader megatron blade thing is incredibly loose. too bad i cant fix that.

Mine fits in and holds in place perfectly.

 

Mine also hold in place good, but whenever I press the windshield on his back against his body, it comes off. I do this quite often as well.
