Yup. The shoulders on mine are almost as bad also. I'm debating if its worth waiting another week or so just to get a replacement that wont be as bad. But hey, after being delayed for nearly 4 months, I dont think I give a damn.

In all honesty I wish a bit less diecast had been used, I've held both Scoria and Quakewave and Scoria feels much MUCH heavier (it might just be how the weight is distributed) and so much of the weight is in the legs that I think the ratchets aren't up to it. I got lucky with his shoulders, although I may buy the shoulder fixes once I see what they are/how they work.

Yeah, I had a lot of anticipation built up for this figure and I have to say, I'm generally disappointed. Looks great, but I can say the same about MP Rodimus. That doesn't mean I can actually fiddle around with him.

Shit, I should have added, are you returning it. Eh, whatever. Let's see the results.

My only concern is after some play he started to do the splits.

Mine is exactly like that. I'm not returning it and I don't consider it a defect. It's fine.

Mine does the forward and back drop, but not the side to side like yours. I will add that I look at it wrong, the left shin piece falls down. Looks like a loose pin.

Also, I have a real hard time believing that there are any that do not fall. The legs have way too much weight not to.

Well, I am not saying, not fall. I would expect it a bit. But it slides like mad.

Yeah, yours has a weird knee thing going on and the part where the hip slips when you let it go from the side, mine doesn't pull the hip piece down, just the leg. Yours appear to be fairly messed up.

As I said in the other thread I think it's unreasonable to expect it to hold legs in the air considering how heavy a figure it is. It should not slip out of standing poses...even dynamic ones. And I don't like how the knee moves in this video. But honestly the video maker should have demonstrated whether his figure can stand in various reasonable poses...I think that would have been a better test.

This is the downside to things with lots of diecast content... a spring pin ratchet can only support so much weight before it gives. Its not really a flaw design wise... alot of Chogokins do it, its just a design exchange. Really its why I dont collect many chogokin. XD

You either have a lightweight figure with strong joints or the hefty all metal one with loose ones. Good example, MP Voltron. The plastic one could hold a variety of poses but "felt cheap", where the diecast one couldent stand its own weight.

Sorry, that is not mine, someone else made that video. Mine just does the same thing. Don't want to take credit for his video is all.

Since I am the one who made the video, I'd like to add that while I don't consider this to be a horrible deal breaker, it DOES feel like it's NOT supposed to be doing this. Obviously my left leg is defective since the ratchets don't even click on it on the way down. Bad luck of the draw on my part, and can be ignored since we're just focusing on the joints and ratchets. I made the video to see how common this was and to see if they are all like this based on the feedback (if they're all like this, then we just have to grin and bear it), or if it really is just a random QC issue and better versions exist, which, based on the response so far, it does.

Remember, the issue isn't whether or not physics says a heavy leg is going to fall, but instead to see if this is a QC issue that you may have without knowing it, and if other people have properly tightened versions.

In other words, are you just settling for a defect you don't even know you have because you assume it's supposed to be this way?

You do realize that you could have just clicked "view poll results" right?

As stated in the Scoria thread mine is like that - the knee issue. No, I do not find it to be an issue.

Mine is exactly like that, and I do consider it a defect. That being said I got mine from Chimungmung and don't feel that it's bad enough to pay for return shipping and wait for a credit.

If I had bought Scoria from a US retailer I would definitely be asking for a replacement figure. Lesson learned.
