The animated prime sort of fits silverbolt's character, if you minus the leader aspect. Elita-1 just adds it on. She really seems hurting and Prime always gotta save people like that. Plus, I get the feeling...they are going to get it on and have some beast machines.

Just a quick question: The dinobots aren't like Elita right? They are robots, but earth robots (in a sense). Right?

 

Too early to tell. There was some speculation of a possible Prowl <3 BlackArachnia because Prowl is fascinated by organics and nature. Too bad Prowl was absent in the episode.

Wouldn't it be awesome if Prowl fights with Prime because of BA?

 

I also got the vibe that Sentinel "loved" Elita One much more than Prime does- Prime feels sorry for what happened to her, but Sentinel freaked out when she died.

 

I think Prowl was purposefully absent in order for him to have his own encounter with BA later on.
Ratchet just stayed in cos he's a grumpy old man who wouldn't have wanted anything to do with halloween.  

 

I only hope that we get no GREAT lines such as "Dark venom of my heart~~~"

I don't think Prime will be as extreme as Silverbolt. So luckily we wont get any cheesy poetic lines. I can see Prime trying to gain her trust back through eps but not show his full emotions. Prowl has yet to meet her so not sure how things will go. Hopefully there will be some jealous sparks. XD

 

Prime is NOT Silverbolt because:

1. He's not some ******ed jet guy who's scared of heights. Like seriously.

2. He's not a bird.

3. He's not an idiot hopeless romantic that gets his ass handed to him in more than %50 of his action screen time. He also doesn't lament his love for anyone besides sentient life and their right of freedom.

4. He was never a Blurr in Japan.

5. He's not a happy-go-lucky round guy who causes tornados and shit for fun.

That's why Prime isn't Silverbolt.

It was interesting how Elita appeared initially to be 'Sentinel's girl' when he put his arm around her and i'm wondering what motivated the writers to portray her like this? Rather than say have her be Optimus' old girlfriend which she clearly was not, she was just a good friend of his along with Sentinel. Or maybe there was a love triangle thing going on with both Primes being interested in Elita? But Sentinel was the one that seemed more keen to claim her? Anyone noticed how he seemed to 'show off' when he squeezed his arms in a bisceps flexing manner just after he transformed from vehicle mode? Was he trying to impress Elita and make himself appear more macho than Optimus?

Hmm, actually now that i think about it, the reason for Elita being associated with Sentinel at the start was probably just a way of involving Sentinel in the story. What better reason for Sentinel to start hating Optimus than over the loss of a female he liked? But what then does this mean for the historical romantic link between Optimus and Elita-1? Will that relationship see any kind of realisation later in the series?

Really i think Prowl and Ratchet were left out of this ep simply because they weren't integral to its story, which i persoanlly think was a good decision. Optimus and BA really were the main focus characters, any others were additional players. If Prowl and Ratchet were incorporated into the episode too, that may well have meant less screen time devoted to the important back story of Prime, Elita and Sentinel and the interaction between Op and BA. I think this ep has ruled out the possibility of a Prowl/BA matchup pretty much. Tho' if Prowl did take an interest in BA in future, he'd have to join the queue of BA's suitors including Optimus and Sentinel! There'd be 3 bots after BA then! LOL!

My prediction for BA's fate in future tho', like many others, is that she'll be 'saved' somehow and will learn to trust Optimus again and forgive him for the past. The question tho' is how this will happen? And in what manner? Will she come to a realisation on her own? Or with Optimus' help? Will there be sacrifices on anyone's part? Or will the changes come gradually and subtley? And will her resolution come in tragic circumstances yet again? Or will she have a happy ending of some sort?

 

But if you consider TOTH, all of the present-day Autobots appeared in the story, even though the focus was on Ratchet and Lockdown. So why would both Ratchet and Prowl be conspicuously absent this time around when a new Decepticon threat appears?

I agree with the others that the writers intentionally left those two out of the story, most likely to build on later in the series. Also, that would give the writers a chance to explain in greater detail their absence when BA showed up the first time.

 

Hmmm...hopefully there won't be a silverbolt. Due to the nature of long, speech primes do, I thought that he'll be like or turn in a sliverbolt like character in BW when it came to elita-1. He starting off like him, trying to convince her and all to come back.

 

as much as I'd like Prime to be the perfect badass father-figure of a leader he's always been, giving him a story arc (he starts down there and finishes up there) is much more interesting.

He WILL be Prime. I have faith.
