In the film he has two eyes yet in the 3d rendering he has a visor on....does he have some sort of battle mask?

 

I think he always has a visor, or it flips down, and it's just hard to see because of the lighting.

 

I found this odd too. In the film I didn't really see it with. But then again we didn't get a very clear look at him considering he was mostly in the background

 

I can make out a mouth.

 

A battle mask doesnt have to be full face Jazz had one with just the visor in the 07 film

 

In the grand scheme of things, it doesnt matter as they can do whatever they want in the sequel since you see him for like a second max in Bumblebee. But to answer your question, I'm pretty sure they changed the design from the visor to having distinct eyes. If you look at the actual concept, the visor seems to be part of his face and not something that retracts. Not only that, they also ended up adding more colors to the final version than what the concept had.

Wow really just for a visor I didnt see anyone complain about that with the 1986 arcee or 07 jazz

 

Because those characters had visors originally.

That's most definitely a mouth. You can see it more clearly on an HD screencap.

 

I hope not, that wonderful smirk of his is just too great to be hidden. Also I’m kind of over the battle mask thing in modern Transformers as a whole.

 

And now comes the nervous waiting for whether a Studio Series retool of Blitzwing will use the head seen in the movie or the one seen in concept art...
