In robot mode, Soundwave has a Deceptional symbol on his upper "arm" on both sides.

However, in drone mode (vehicle mode), does he have the above symbols? Because the arms transformed into his wings when he changes to drone mode.

I'm asking bcos I'm thinking if I should apply some stickers on his upper "arm" in robot mode.

 

I thought he did, but then again, Starscream had those Decepticon Symbols on his knees in Master And Students and were never shown. Wait, oh drone mode?  : Sorry! Got off topic, I haven't seen them in his alt-mode. Sorry.

 

Sort of found my own answer from Amazon JP. Not sure if the artwork on the DVD box is official. If it is, at least now I know why the toy does not include the decepticon symbol.

I haven't seen his insignia on the wings when in vehicle mode. I suppose he just tucks them under a panel when flying.

 

The last pic is too dark, i can't see a logo there.

 

I can see; Soundwave doesn't have a logo on the underside of his wings.

 

Yeah I have the same dilema. Do I want the alt mode innaccurate or the robot mode. Also in order to have them facing the right way up in bot mode, they would need to go sideways on the wings.

 

Screw accuracy. What, do you hold the figure up to the screen? Do what makes the figure look good in its own right.

 

I thought they did an amazing job with Soundwave. I never thought his design would translate into a workable toy.

But yeah screw accuracy.

 

The decepticon symbol makes the toy look good in both robot and alt mode. I want it to look good in both modes. That's always been what I like about transformers - with the faction symbol visible in both robot & alt mode. Guess I'll have to live with none for Soundwave.

That's the thing. You can't. You have to choose between having the symbols look goofy (ie sideways) in either alt or robot mode.

The only choice is just not to have them.
