Does the Transformers toy Override suck? Should I buy It?

 

Override is one of the best figures in the line. Go to a TRU and find the buy one, get one free packs too. $5 per figure isn't bad at all.

Yes and no, respectively. Override is the third-worst mold in the Cybertron line, IMO (surpassed in craptacularity only by Backstop and Thundercracker). The vehicle mode is tolerable, but the transformation sucks, the robot mode is a mess with multiple poseability problems and the Key Gimmick is pathetic for a Deluxe. Don't bother with it unless you want the Speed Planet Leader Key.

 

I like it, it's pretty posable, and think it looks good. The only real problem I have with it is the face, it's a nasty color.

But yeah, getting it in a buy 1 get one pack makes it that much better. Get it with Hot Shot if you don't have him yet.

 

I wouldn't even list Backstop up there with Thundercracker....but then again, I love the little guy.

Override is meh. Basically that's all you can say about it.

 

I dont' think Override sucks. The auto-transform gimmick is actually pretty cool. However, posability is limited, and yes, the upper torso is too broad. BUt i think there's a few who suck more - Thundercracker and Dirt Boss come to mind. But then, you're going to find someone who will like something you think sucks, so... it's a tough call.

 

What's with all the Thundercracker hate? He's one of the best deceps of the line.

Override, on the other hand, looks terrible in both modes.

 

Totally sucks. Semi-auto-transform feature ruins the fun and its hard to pose because of the crappy legs. Finally, the pinkish red is fugly as hell. The GTS version LOOKS a bit better but it's still the same crappy toy. Save your money.

Thundercracker and Dirt Boss (while ugly in color) are miles ahead better.

 

I'm surpised noone responded with the predictable dirty answer since the questions is if the female robot "sucks".....

I've posted my thoughts on this one (as Nitro Convoy) in the reviews section. I had a hard time finding something to like on this one, I'm afraid. I really think the gimmick hurt what could have been a great toy.

The figure isn't great, IMO. Depending on the way you pose it, it looks good (Chaos Muffin has cool pics, check out his album  ) But it's hard to pose due to those high heels on thin legs.
I find this a bloody shame as I really like Nitro Convoy in the cartoon.

 

It's pretty fkawed. Its one of those automatic quickformers where the whole robot is a gimmick. And the gimmick tends to have a mind of it's own making it hard for her to stay in vehicle mode.
Won't touch mine anymore because it's hard to get her to stay in car mode.

It's still not a bad fig, car mode is really cool when it stays and robot mode has decent poseability. She'd make a nice bonus fig in those Cybertron 2packs. So you'd only pay 5 bucks for her.

 

I had Nitro Convoy and Override. Deing a basically same toy, I chose to keep Overrides toy and Nitros package, as I prefer the orange face over the gold one.

It isn't a toy like Vector Prime, that every transfan should own, but I reccommend it.

 

Worst Deluxe in my opinion. Backstop is worst overall...

 

Override sucks, Nitro Convoy is slightly better. The mold is still bad but at least Nitro Convoy doesn't have that horrid orange face. It's just... so.. orange! And it's got a couple paint apps that aren't on Override.

 

I love my override figure. not in a freaky way though

 

It's not TERRIBLE but definitely in the bottom echelon of the line...not much more to add to what the others have said really, although my auto-transforming gimmick works just fine...it's the huge upper torso and balance problems I have an issue with. If you can find it in a BOGO, go for it.
