    uses the Decepticon Faction logo?

I hope they explain that. Humans surely can't be that dumb to think that only Autobots are the only Transformers on Earth and classify everything Transformers as Autobots.

Wouldn't they try to find and exterminate ALL Transformers?

Does he have one in the movie? I'm sure they put it on the toy just to get some Decepticon figures on the shelves.

Or maybe by the end of the movie, as he is instilled with Megatron's spark, he becomes a Decepticon. Hence the logo.

Nah, not really. But then I have a theory that he gains sentience using Megatrons conscience so that probably why it doesn't bother me.

Does the model have the new Decepticon logo on it?

I'm still trying to figure out if he'll actually be called Galvatron in the movie, or if that's done solely for toy purposes... If humans made him, WHY would they give him a cybertronian sounding name? Wouldn't it be more like a model # (a la NBE-01)?

It's a fairly similar name to Megatron, perhaps the human-made Transformer project was called Galv, and decided to name the robot itself Galvatron since he's made from Megatron's parts.

According to people who saw the footage, Kelsey Grammer indeed calls him Galvatron.

I think he'll just come about by himself and call himself Galvatron. Same for Stinger. It kinda feels right, considering that humans literally frankenstined his body and that never ends well. Remember what happened in Jurassic Park? Too much power for simple people to control.

The Decepticon faction logo might only be present on the toy - alternatively maybe the humans want to create supply and demand for the human-made Transformers by making Galvatron look like a real Decepticon.

It's not that Transformers are made of it, but whenever I think of "Galv" in Galvatron, galvanized steel comes to mind.

I wouldn't be surprised if the thought process behind his name in the movie would somehow be inspired by the term and process of galvanizing steel, who they took parts from, in addition to the combining process of our own metals and Cybertronian metal.

"When Optimus Prime dealt a crushing blow to Megatron in the Battle of Chicago, the triumph was short-lived. The victorious Autobots were rewarded with exile and new enemies determined to bring about their total destruction. If there was ever any doubt, the Autobots now know for certain: as long as there is a Decepticon with a spark in his circuits, their centuries-old war will continue."

Well that indeed confirms Galvatron holds Megatron's spark, as it was expected.

I am not going to disagree completely, but a toy bio is hardly a confirmation.

The logo is just for the toy. Who knows, maybe he does become sentient and becomes a Decepticon.

It's the same reason Lockdown is branded as a Decepticon, despite no where does it say he is on either side.

"LOCKDOWN is one of the most feared bounty hunters in the universe. He captures everything he tracks, collecting his prizes in his massive prison ship. Few of his targets have outmaneuvered him, and even fewer have escaped his jails. Now, the merciless DECEPTICON has set his sights on the AUTOBOTS!"

Well, the term "galvanization", where the name Galvatron comes from, is derived from a historical scientists's experiments, Luigi Galvani.

Really, it'd kind of a silly name for an alien robot to be given, because why would they name themselves after a human, basically? Kinda odd for Unicron to dub his herald after a process originating from Earth. But as a human made Transformer it makes sense.

Even more fitting, Galvani's experiments aimed to re-animate dead frog legs to get them to move. This would help inspire to novel Frankenstein...and, seeing as AoE Galvatron is the reanimated remains of Megatron, it all makes sense.

True, but for all that a toy bio is the only piece of evidence we'll get until the movie is released.
