My transmetal tarantulas has a loose spider leg assembly where it conects to his back and while I would be be putting future into the hinge, if it where to drip onto the chrome would it affect it at all?

My MP Rod was getting chrome wear on his pipes. I Futured 'em for protection. They're OK. Keep it thin. I don't know where the cutoff is where it starts to look cloudy. But two passes with a q-tip remains nice n shiny.

Would a Clear Coat (testors) work to lock in the chrome from flaking?

At all? Of course! That'd be the reason to apply it!

Does it affect the parts negatively? I think it depends on how you apply it. A few thin coats should be fine, though it'll make the parts slightly more glossy than before. I applied Future to mine when I got it because the chrome was already starting to flake some. It may not "permanently" lock it, but it'll slow the process down quite a bit.

Okay new question, I put future into the joint and left it for the night and it didn't do anything, does anyone have ideas how I might be able to tighten the pin?
