Ok im sure this has gotten brought up before, But Hasbro has stated that ROTF toys will go way into 2010, with hopefully some new additions besides what we have heard about @ Botcon. Now i realize that this is not likely, but ever since the first TF movie, I have always wanted a Leader Class Blackout, but we got Voyager class, which was fine for then, but not now.. Hasbro did make a great move on making Brawl, LOVE HIM!!, However, In TF:ROTF, there is GRINDOR/Blackout!!! Sooo since this movie is based off selling toys, I think they should consider taking a crack at that it!! I was so happy to get Leader Prime and I am a nerd so I would buy Blackout and Grindor(repaint w/new head) at Leader prices any day for sure. Starscream is finally getting Leader and he deserves it!! And Im sure hasbro can take that leader, add a different head, different paint app, you got Seekers!!! Do the same to Blackout/Grindor Hasbro!! lol

Im sure it comes down to $$$, But I believe it would be a welcome addition to any TF movie collection:)

On Blackout's bio alone (movie Voyager), it is said he is the LARGEST of the Decepticons (not counting Devastator and other possible combiners). Yet, his toy is so wimpy looking standing next to even other voyagers, it totally ruins it. Don't get me wrong, I really like that toy a lot, but his scale is much too small. So yeah, Blackout deserves a leader class toy. I don't care if they call it Grindor instead, I'll buy it.

With Starscream announced as the fourth Leader, I doubt it. Buuuut...if Hasbro is more 'three Leaders per year' than 'three Leaders per line' and the next series doesn't kick off until later in 2010 on Hasbro's upcoming channel, and if RotF does sell well...maybe there's still a small chance in hell Blackout/Grindor gets a Leader. I'd love to see it, but I don't think it likely at the moment.

If he didn't get one for the first movie, almost certainly not this time.

Besides, Leader mold slots are pretty much filled beyond capacity. (Optimus, Megatron, Jetfire, and the promise of Starscream down the road)

    Yep, I'd be nice though!

I'd buy it over that Itty-Shay L. Jetfire, what a waste. I mean, that Alt Mode IS giagantic and nice lookin... But if THATS the Bot Mode... FAIL!!! Im lookin forward to SS!

I'd buy one but I don't think it's likely now Leader Starscream has been confirmed.

I think If Hasbro focus'more on making them more screen accurate and have a cool"transformation" afterall, they are transformers.

I personally dont care for some of the leader due to the fact that the focus is more on MECH ALIVE which can get in the way of making a great leader..

    First Movie Prime: Eh ok
    First Movie Megatron: Pretty Good
    Brawl: Exellent
    ROTF Prime: Amazing!!
ROTF Megs: Not so much with that arm
    ROTF Jetfire: Not so much
ROTF Starscream:????? Hope fully movie quality

I would have bought ROTF Megs if he was a better mold..he just looks mis proportioned...even with a new paint job. Got rid of my first movie prime to trade up for a ROTF Prime;)

I still say go for it Hasbro!;)

I'm not sure if Blackout deserves a leader class. The kids are getting me Prime for father's day and I can't wait. Megs sucks in comparison to the first movie. Jetfire is a pickup for me cause his immense jet mode size and also because he combines with Prime. And Starscream will also be a buy next year as I passed on the Voyager so far because I like the 07 movie version better. So I guess it all depends. If they can make him anywhere near as badass as he looks in the movie, then I say yes. But If he is just a crappy as ROTF Megs than I say no.

Even if they gave him a Leader, it would just be a tragically undersized Leader. Making the toy one size class bigger is not going to solve its fundamental engineering difficulties. Here's the thing: because his chest has to be formed from the nose of the chopper to be accurate, that greatly limits the places where they can hide his robot parts. He is always going to be tiny because such a large portion of his vehicle-mode mass is virtually unusable for his robot mode.

And just as an aside, his rotor would be hilariously small, since they're only allowed to be a certain length by safety restrictions. This is why Energon Quickstrike's blades are so small, and he's not even a Leader.

I never thought about that before. Good point, actually.

Bummer, as I love Blackout. Ahh, well, the chances of a Leader Class figure went out the door last Movie line when they made Leader Brawl anyways. I'd never hold my breath for a Leader Balckout.
