I did when i was in second grade and still remembered seeing it at opening day's night with my mom and pop and saw it 5 times, i still remembered having the stuff like Pizza Hut puppets, a couple of t-shirts, PJs, stuffed Petrie, junior novel, coloring books and all that.

I also remembered crying when Littlefoot's mom died as it was one of the saddest moments i've seen in an animated movie when i was a kid besides Optimus's death in the TF animated movie or Bambi's mom.

Yeah I remember being in Pizza hut with the puppets, was never able to get my hand inside ducky.

It was always cinema then pizza hut. Got so many film related things from pizza hut, like the star trek cups.

Sobbed like a sissy with a skinned knee :cry  Damn you, James Horner and Don Bluth both!

Also seriously glad that I knew nothing of what happened to Judith Barsi (voice of Ducky) until recently.

I cried my goddamn heart out. Probably cried out some other organs, but the heart came first. Oh man, that soundtrack, the last words to her son, it cuts me deep.

I didn't see it in theatres, but my family watched it on the old VCR.

Oh man I was completely bawling the first time I watched it, it's still one of my favourite animated films, shame its legacy has been pretty much shat on due to the 1.3 billion sequels that have been churned out :redface2:

Oh, and the TV series, nearly forgot about that one, god almighty

I never cried when Bambi's mother died, but I definitely cried at that when I was a kid.

We went. My little sister cried so much my mom had to take her out of the room for a bit to calm her down!

Good movie. Shame they made all those awful direct to video sequals.

These right? I think my sister had littlefoot.

The one sequel I liked was the one where you met Littlefoot's father, since A) it addressed a point I'd been curious about and B) it was Keifer Sutherland

I had all of those. They ruled!

They actually addressed that. I always thought he was dead. Jeez now I'm going to have to go look that up.

Never saw it in theaters, I think I was 2 at the time or something like that. I remember seeing it on vhs though. Can't remember if I cried though, I definitely was sad. I do remember bawling when I first saw Snoopy Come Home. Still chokes me up when Snoopy leaves. Never knew about those puppets, but my sister and I have spike and petrie cups from some promotion by ziploc.

Only sequel I liked was the one with the baby t-rex Chomper.

It's sad about Judith as i never knew until i looked on the internet to see what happened to the stars of LBT as there's a sad story that Judith died when she was 8 by her own father and finished recording Land Before Time.

Absolutely loved this movie as a kid. I actually hadn't seen it for years until just recently. It was just as good as I remember it to be. I can't believe the depth in Don Bluth films. I don't think I saw it in theatres, but I definitely had one or two of the pizza hut puppet. I was obsessed with those things as a kid. Dinosaurs is a subject I feel has been greatly lost by the kids of today. Dinosaurs were everywhere in the early 90's. Now, not so much.

Pretty sure I watched it in Sears or something while my parents were trolling around for furniture.

i saw that in the theater.

i think as an adult, that that kind of movie isn't good for little kids. they watch it, then get home and watch Animal Planet and ask the parents why couldn't the lion be friends with the antelope...

    confusing the kid.

All of the main dinosaurs in The Land Before Time (discounting the sequels) are all herbivores dude, except Petrie but he's a fish or carrion eater; they'd never be prey to his species.

Your criticism is valid of the sequels, but not of the original.
