I was fine with it myself. It was good to see him finally get fed up and kick some butt.

I like an assertive Optimus Prime but not to the point of ripping faces and slicing spines.

If he was a human. That's a war crime right there. Sometimes i wonder who the real big bad alien robots are.

Seriously I like the idea of him actually finishing off the Cons but not in that way.

 

Ha dude deja vu. Yes I love prime n everything about him.

 

I chose "mixed feelings".

I preferred the Optimus we got in TF1 - even if I did think his idea of being a martyr and leaving everyone else to deal with Megatron was rather dumb, and it didn't seem like he cared enough about Bumblebee or Jazz.


I don't have a problem with an Optimus who kills 'Cons. I just think Bay should have left some of the commentary and heavier violence to those like Ironhide and Sideswipe, who could have used more scenes anyway.

 

I like it...in the way you like watching those comedy movies about the serial killers. You don't LIKE them, but they're so insane it's hilariously entertaining.

 

It's nice to have an Optimus Prime who's not a naive idiot despite having been in a war lasting hunderds/millions of years.

I still think "Give me your face!" was an awful, stupid line that inspired awful, stupid jokes.

 

I loved him when he was aggressive, the vibe I got from him was "We've been fighting this war for centuries, we know how to.... THERE'S ONE, KILL THEM ALL!"

 

Gonna say no. If someone actually noticed it in the show, then the answer might be different but as perfectly normal Optimus that everyone likes, no.

 

I like to make fun of it, yeah.

Like it? No.

But I do find amusement in watching a deranged psychopath pretend to be a noble hero, and everyone around him going along with it, probably because they fear for their lives and the lives of their loved ones.

Wasn't there a line in the line in the original theme song that went, "Autobots wage their battle to destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons!"? As far as I know, movie-verse Prime is the only Prime that follows through on that.

True that. We can't forget that the movie verse Decepticons aren't like the ineffectual 'Cons from G1. These guys mean buisness. Sparing their lives would do nothing but give them more chances to kill people. Maybe Prime could have been a bit less brutal in his methods but I can't fault him for taking out beings that were planning nothing less than the genocide of the human race. I doubt the Decepticons would have shown him any mercy were the roles reversed.

I think Prime should be a kinder bot. I mean in the first movie he didn't want to have to kill or Megatron (or have Sam do it for him). But come the second and third movies, Optimus becomes a pyshopathic murder killer who seems to enjoy ripping faces off of people. I think Transformers: Prime nailed the character of Optimus to perfection. Kind, didn't enjoy killing cons but did because it was necessary. So no I don't like Optimus be agressive.

 

Agressive yes, but i mean come on!
He failed cybertron, his home.
He has a chance to save earth, and he will do what ever it takes to make sure history wont repeat. Not to mention they killed his best friend and had his father like figure (technicaly his brother) betray him and the bots. You cant blame optimus for being so aggressive, its like you guys want him to say yes to everything and let optimus let the bad guys winlike some emotionless pawn.
