I swear I remember it was mentioned somewhere. Either I saw a video, or read an article that mentioned the person.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Someone on here has got to know.

    Thanks guys!

Oh and, I already know it's not Floro Dery.

I'm not sure but I think it was probably an underpaid comic book artist.

I remember reading something about the autobot logo being based on the face of Prowl/Bluestreak. Can't remember the con logo though.

Yeah I already knew that. I'm looking for the artist/designer who came up with them.

The Con insignia is based off of Soundwave's face.

    'con logo is Soundwave.

I'm pretty sure it came from a Marvel staff member, I'd hazard a guess and say it was Bob Budiansky.

I like in Cybertron how they made Vector Prime's face look like the autobot insignia.

I was thinking Bob Budiansky too. I know he named Megatron and several others, I'm just not sure he came up with the logos.

You're still trying to find out. I remember reading about in an old Bob Budiansky interview that I think was on Raymond Ts website.. Seibertron.com, but I do not know if it is still up. He said they were taken from Prowl and Soundwaves faces because they were going to be the original leaders of the Autobots and decepticons, but I am not sure if it was his idea or not.

wow.. this is only my second post in this forum in 3 years, although I have posted a lot in the Radicons section. Weird since I log into the site at least a couple times a week to view stuff.

I searched a bit and still haven't found the creater of the insignias. Most likely it was Dennis Oneil or Jim Shooter, because Oneil was on board and naming characters before Bob.

Actually, the autobots insignia was made from prowls head design and the decepticons was made from soundwaves head design.

    This may help tooz. (clicky!)

I don't know who designed those logos, but if I had to hazard a guess, I would say it was someone from Hasbro's advertising agency back in the day, rather than comic book people.

The Comic book, Marvel, people were hired by Hasbro for the initial purpose of creating a storyline around the characters. Marvel created it all with the Toys from the Takara Japanese micoman/diaclone/joustra etc. lines as a basis.
