I know I do, knowing there's gonna be something waiting in this humid heat for hours while I'm at work.

    Where are you?

It's 63° out where I live right now, so I'm not concerned.

I'm a teacher, so I don't work during the summer and therefore don't worry about the heat and humidity too much, even though I'm in Florida.

Of course, since I'm home all day, I don't have much to distract me from the agonizing wait for whatever I order for my birthday in July. That's when I haunt the "Waiting for a package sucks" thread. :D

I'm fortunate enough to work from home, so I'm typically available to snap any package up as soon as it arrives rather than let it sit out in the heat all day.

That's the main reason I ended up getting a PO Box. Can't stand leaving a package to wait in the grueling Florida heat, regardless of the time of year.

I get nervous ordering stuff because not only the possibility of it getting left out in the heat (which is a minor concern) but it getting left out and risk it being stolen or out during a storm. I have a PO Box but still sucks there are places like HTS which does not allow PO Boxes. I have asked the Postmaster to not leave it on the porch or hold it for pick up several times and they only actually did as requested 10% of the time.

My Hasbrotoyshop order was pretty warm recently from all the sun and my doorbell is broken.

You may have a point. But I'm usually here during the day anyhow, since I work at night.

Yes! It's 107 where I'm at and I usually always seem to get my packages when I'm working a 24 hour shift. -_-

Yep, it also means the people bringing your stuff regardless of what service you use will be too lazy to get out and will leave a slip or something so you have to come pick it up.

I don't usually worry about the heat, since by time it gets to my house it's too late. The packages have already sat on delivery trucks from USPS or UPS while it's been moving from place to place, which when sealed are equal to or hotter than the temperature outside. At least on my porch it's in fresh air and sometimes a cool breeze.

It's always 93 and humid where I live. And I don't worry about it. I get happy when it's winter and we see a low of 50.
