Well, so far so good. I'm actually enjoying a Dr Who Christmas Special! Who'd have think it...
    Oh.
    And.
    BERNARD F*CKING CRIBBINS!
Edit: it just finished. And it was bloody great. Enjoyable, tense, and the effects were extremely good. Even the dialogue was good. Congratulations Davies; you've almost made up for crap like the Slitheen now*. Keep it up.

*just in time for Catherin fucking Tate to come back to the show. Bugger. I hope she's less annoying than she was in last year's Xmas Special...

That slow motion shot of a serious looking Doctor with the flames behind him was pretty incredible.
The episode overall was very clever, I totally enjoyed it.

    I thought is was poop.

Seriously, I saw it yesterday and toward the end I wanted to vomit so bad I was sticking fingers down my throat before I remembered I don't have any tonsils.

I don't know, the premise was intriguing enoughbut, it all felt so... stilted. Formulaic I guess. Here is Titanic, its turned into Deep Rising meets the Posiedon adventure. And here's your villains.

I don't know. Makes me wonder what it would have been like if Steven Moffat wrote it from the original premise.

I'm with Tikgnat, really, really bad.

Bernard Cribbins was full of win, however. We need more Derrick Griffiths though

Middle of the road episode IMO, not hideous enougth for me to be angry about but not good enougth to be positive either. Certainly a poor showing after some of the quality we had in this years series.

My opinion might be a bit warped at the moment thougth as i'm currently marathoning my way througth new BSG, which makes even the most hardcore new Who look a bit lightweight.

Watched it last night, thought it was good. After seeing the promo for next season I'm not sure I'll like the next assistant. I know she was on the last Christmas special but there is something about her I don't like.

Frankly, after Voyage of the Damned, Tate and the Series 4 trailer, I'm more excited about series 2 of Torchwood.

Not that I hated it, it just didnt keep my interest.

    I thought it was enjoyable.
Though I was a bit surprised that they were knocking off survivors left right and centre.

Excellent, glad you are enjoying it.

It wasn't bad; there are certainly worse Doctor Who episodes out there.

I loved it. Probably the best of the three Christmas specials so far (not that last year's is a contender, even with the Doctor's wonderfully merciless disposal of the... whatever those spider things were called). A nice blend of the Poseidon Adventure and the Tom Baker serial Robots of Death (one of my favorite Baker stories). Tennant continues to prove why he's rapidly become one of the all-time great Doctors, and the script did a good job of developing the cannon fodder to the point where most of their deaths felt really sad. Kylie Minoque may have gotten all the publicity, but I found the old man to be the most interesting and likable character. In all, I'd consider this one of Davies' strongest scripts. Excellent, excellent episode.

I loved most of it. The heavenly host were annoying and I'm amazed that fer being shot, that kid lived as long as he did, and even seemed to get better as time wore on. Bad guy was totally rubbish, but somehow highly amusing.

Ghost Kylie will be back undoubtedly. David Tennat is a bloody amazing actor, i still don't understand how he does an english accent so well.

Without doubt my favourite part of the whole thing was the guy who used to be in 'Keeping Up Appearences', he'salways warmly welcomed in anything :) ...
