SciFi has picked up the second season of Doctor Who. Starting in Septemeber. Now if only the new toys would get a major release here. http://www.gateworld.net/news/2006/08/scifipicksupidoctorwhoisea.shtml
I was naughty and already watched it But I'll watch it again. Series two was brilliant. Eagerly awaiting Torchwood and the Christmas special.
I believe Torchwood starts in October. And I, too, have already seen this but still look forward to it (except Love & Monsters, which really sucked). It will be nice to see Age of Steel without the sudden, intrusive voice narrating the action during the last ten minutes. I don't know what was up with that on the version I downloaded.
I hope they will re-air S1 since I caught most of it, but missed one or two eps, not enough to buy the DVD set
Awesome. I loved season 2. Especially the finale and the alien planet stories. So the American kids got S1 and the S2 just a few months later, now they have to wait forever to get to S3.
I'm dreading Torchwood. Phazer, do you know if they found a way to explain why UNIT doesn't seem to exist any more?
UNIT most certainly does still exist, and this might well get addressed in some detail at some point... Phazer
Good. Is Nick Courtney still alive? I want to see an aging Lethbridge-Stewart pulled back into service.
As far as it was shown, UNIT was killed off in series 1, remember, when they were all gathered in Downing street, and the Slitheen electrocuted them all.
RTD mentioned in the Confidential episode Welcome to Torchwood that he envisioned UNIT and Torchwood being kinda like the FBI and CIA where they coexist and don't share any information.
Ugh. I'd still love to disallow anything with the Slitheen in it. Shitty, pointless excuse for bad rubber suits and fart jokes that they were.
