I bought the animated "The Macra Terror" over the weekend, and it's not just the best animation they've produced to date, it's great to see how many versions of this missing story they've included on these discs: - All four episodes animated, in color and in black and white. They've taken some liberties with the visuals this time around rather than attempting to recreate the live action as closely as possible, and they've trimmed a number of scenes, but what we get is well done. I'm sure the Macra in particular benefit from being fully visible and mobile. - also included is what I presume is the Loose Cannon reconstruction, which can be watched both with the plain soundtrack, or the one originally released on CD with Anneke Wills narrating events. So if, like me, you often prefer the reconstructions just because we get actual images from the episodes with existing clips inserted, so it feels more authentic, this is very welcome. - The few existing clips from this story are included. There are short clips from episode 2, mainly from when the Macra attack Polly and Ben, and when the Controller is throttled by the Macra, and then bits of episode 3 exist as off-air film recordings, so we get to see just a tiny bit of the actual visuals from this story. - This story was originally released on cassette tape back in 1992 with Colin Baker narrating, and even that version is included as an extra. - There is a "bonus mini-episode" which turns out to be a cut-down 10 minute version of The Wheel in Space episode 1. And there are a few other extras as well. All in all, short of Phillip Morris digging up the actual episodes, you'll never have more or better options to watch this story than you get on this set.

Do they interfere with BF a lot? On a different note, I just finished the 10th Doctor Adventures volume with Rose Tyler, and I was... underwhelmed. I expected more, but I really didn’t enjoy the stories very much. Hopefully that was an aberration, since I quite enjoyed the other two 10th Doctor boxsets.
This whole Time Lord Victorius is their thing. COMING SOON: Time Lord Victorious All their licensees are part of it. BBC Studios’ Doctor Who licensees have come together to tell an amazing epic Partners involved in the project include Penguin Random House, BBC Books, Doctor Who Magazine, Titan Comics, Escape Hunt, Big Finish and Immersive Everywhere So one wonders how much is under BBC directive so they can keep the License.
So apparently Clownfish TV is really going off about this. I don't even know why I watch those videos. I mean I haven't even watched this yet and apparently it's bad. I guess they interpret things certain ways and feel that everything is full of shit.
They say he can even regenerate into animals, clownfish may be taking more away from the video than is really presented. But I can understand their frustration. When I think of old who I'm fine, but when I think of new episodes I get angry worried what Chibnall will screw up next with his last season. Seems almost like they are burning down the house on their way out and saying to whoever comes next, well you clean up the mess now that I''ve broken all your toys and burned it down. You won't be able to fix what I've done.
Not gonna lie. I’m intrigued. Man, BF has a lot of new releases coming out for the rest of the year that I’m very interested in.
Well with most stars being unable to film live action, it was easy to get many of them alone in a sound proof booth to do audio recordings during covid. Plus the writers can just e-mail in the scripts. Many of these are often done in a week and some actors just come in for a weekend. So we got a lot more of some actors than expected this year, and I'm sure they will announce more surprises closer to Christmas and have some surprises for next year.
What could have been: A Dr Who cartoon produced by Nelvana around the 80s. It never got as far as concept art though. Concept art created by Ted Bastien.
