Well spotted. During that time there were a few things that were setting up a storyline for the future that never came to pass due to the cancellation. Script Editor Andrew Cartmel apparently had a masterplan for the show beyond series 26 and some of it eventually got explored in a series of novels some of which were written by future Nu-Who writers. He wanted to rewrite the Doctor's backstory and have him as an all conquering demigod who was far more than "just another Time Lord". Considering what's been done to the Doctor since the show returned I'd say that RTD and Moffat were at least inspired by that idea. Seeker, Great pics as always! Pat was second only to Tom in my book and I roll my eyes every time somebody tries to compare Smith to him....the only thing that's similar is the bow tie. Tom and Jon were great Doctors because they were doing an extension of their real life personality, Pat was great because he created a fascinating character from nothing and won audiences over on the regeneration concept. That achievement alone ensures his place in Who history.
Ah, I don't really care much about the trailer at the moment. Got myself some more SHF loving in the meantime! Seeker - Brilliant finds there! Gotta love the Second Doctor and it really makes me want to pull out The Krotons dvd again & also prepare to go and watch The Invasion dvd & listen to The Ice Warriors audiobook. Loved the qoute image & the recorder playing Doctor image by Aimeekitty. I hope to get more Second Doctor DVDs or Companion Chronicles CDs in the near future, after I'm done with The Fourth Doctor Adventures: Season 2.
Looks Like Paul McGann Has Filmed A New Doctor Who Something... But What? - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
I hope its true. I really want to see McGann on the screen again. I know it's just because of the Big Finish audio stuff but he's really been one of my favorite Doctors, and it'd be so awesome to see him acknowledged in such a way. A regeneration scene would be just dandy, just put him in his current Big Finish look please.
I do too. Despite all the audio work he's done, the Eighth Doctor is really a mostly untapped resource. I would have thought he would be a prime candidate for a big role in the 50th special. I haven't seen his movie yet, but I heard it wasn't that great. I'd really love for him to do something awesome on television to vindicate himself.
Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Special Images Of The Daleks Surrounded By Flames - Bleeding Cool Comic Book, Movies and TV News and Rumors
Nope! At least, I didn't hate them. Colors aside, the new designs looked really powerful- or at least as powerful as a Dalek can look.
It's less the color and more of the design for me. I'm ok with the fancy colors as long as it's not too outlandish, but the new design just didn't appeal to me.
"Remembrance of the Daleks" is my favorite of McCoy's TV stories. It's also going to be the first story to get a complete set of main characters released as 5" scale action figures as Ace was recently confirmed for release, complete with Nitro 9, a baseball bat, a rocket launcher as well as her rucksack and an extra set of arms so you can display her without the jacket.
