Nah. Let the touch stay where it is. Let it have its own anthem.

This is set in the 90's, IIRC. The soundtrack should be stuffed with bands off the Last Action Hero Soundtrack.
    1. Big Gun [AC/DC]
    2. What the Hell Have I [Alice In Chains]
    3. Angry Again [Megadeth]
    4. Real World [Queensryche]
    5. Two Steps Behind [Def Leppard]
    6. Poison my Eyes [Anthrax]
    7. Dream On [Aerosmith]
    8. A Little Bitter [Alice In Chains]
    9. Cock the Hammer [Cypress Hill]
    10. Swim [Fishbone]

You know what'd be cool for once? The Transformers theme.

Even that dumpy Power Rangers movie by Paramount had a remix of the theme song, it's such a simple thing to include and none of the movies so far have included it. I'm aware there have been versions on the soundtracks but I mean in the movie itself, the Bay movies just have a bunch of pop songs from big bands at the time (which is usually what happens when the movie in question is little more than a shallow cash-grab).

The one from the 80's show, or the one Lion did for the movie? Something like that.

Hell, Linkin Park DID A rendition of the Transformers theme, it just never appeared in the movie. As did Black Lab and Mutemath.

Yeah but G1 alone has three different themes. Four if you count that risible Generation 2 thing. So which one of those do you pick to give the epic screen treatment to?

Honestly I think any of them would've been serviceable as a basis, but that's just me. :lol  As it is the ones made for the 2007 movie were great, I just would've liked to have seen one of them in the movie. D:

Look I think it’s a damn shame Black Lab’s cover never made it into the films. It was pretty pitch perfect for the five Michael Bay helmed films.

Would love to hear an orchestral version of the classic theme, that'd be genuinely incredible. Ditto for doing a version of the Beast Wars theme as well. Hell, throw in the Beast Machines theme too. Phat Planet is cool.

Hunger would fit better with the whole beastial motiv in my opinion. Also, while super unlikely, an orchestral rearrangement of the BW2 theme song Get My Future has the potential to slap like it's nobody's business.

I wouldn't recommend using anything from the 1986 movie. At this point, I think I'd prefer the movies distance themselves from G1, until a new creative team takes over.
If they're not going to handle things well, I'd rather they just didn't.

Obviously the high budget version of this would have to use a real choir and orchestra instead of what sounds like synth stuff, but this sounds real nice as a demo.

Nope, none of that eighties stuff. This movie takes place in the nineties, I want a remix of the Beast Wars opening and sick electric guitar riffs.

If we didn't need it in the last six films I don't know why we'd need it now. Not everything needs to be a callback to earlier parts of the brand.

edit: I wrote 'first' six films instead of 'last' six films, that's a bit of a different implication.

Goddamn I forgot that cover existed. Just listened to it on YT...unironically would have been a far better track to use for the transition to the credits than the song used in 2007. Even slightly edited the lyrics to say 'Megatron' instead of 'Unicron'.

In fact it really is kind of a bummer that somehow, we've not gotten any version of the original theme proper given how iconic it is. Generally, the movies liked to just use the 'Autobot Arrival' track from 2007 as the theme instead, given the influence on the one for the Prime cartoon.

Doesn't seem to have the touch.

I think this fandom over hypes that song...its good but like Dare is RIGHT THERE and personally is a way better song than the touch. It would be cool to see a reference but we already got a taste with BB so I'm fine to not see it...now Instruments of Destruction...

As an aside: I would like just one live-action movie to have the actual fucking Transformers theme song in it just once. Even if it’s just the end credits.
