3D was canceled for my local theater, so it doesn't matter to me. Though if the 3D I saw for DOTM back when there was 3D here is anything to go by, it would be cool. Then again, with the budget cut, if they don't add the 3D, they can make a movie as good as DOTM with that budget. So, it would be cool, but I don't want it.
No doubt, it'll be in 3D. Loads of CGI and Bay's newfound love for the third dimension, plus 3D being DOTM's biggest success according to most critics.... That just answers the question right there.
Christopher Nolan has proved with The Dark Knight Rises that 3D really is just a useless and expensive gimmick. So no, 3D is useless and shouldn't be used for any movies, Transformers or otherwise.
3D is cool but I prefer regular 2D movies, I don't have to keep pushing the stupid glasses back on my face over and over again.
2D. Not interested in 3D at all. That's not to say I'll gnash my teeth if it does end up in 3D as I wouldn't wish for people that do like 3D to not have it, as long as I can have the 2D option as well. If for some reason it was only in 3D then I'd be pissed. But that's highly unlikely. How many upcoming movies are in 3D now anyway? I don't seem to hear as much trumpeting of 'In 3D!' in trailers or various movie news now. Used to be every other movie released was in 3D.
Honestly, 3D is amazing, but most people just aren't doing it right. The 3D in regular cinemas compared to an IMAX cinema is horrible.
3d characters? yes. 3d everything else? i don't care. just develop a damn character other then Sam, Bay!
It's an absolute banker to be 3D but why does it matter? 3D movies are also screened in 2D so if you don't like it then you have a choice. Simples. The hate for 3D always makes me laugh too, gotta say the Olympics so far have been fantastic but then sports and video games have always tended to be better than movies in the third dimension in my experience.
3D never really seems to work well for me, but sure, why not? It's one more visual thing for a franchise based on spectacle.
I'd like it in 3D. DotM had some of my favorite 3D scenes. If anyone doesn't want to watch it in 3D, they don't have to.
3D is really overrated and I could care less about anything 3D. $10-$12 is already enough to go pay for a movie. I don't need to shell out another $3 for 3D effects. 2D is just enough "D" for me.
Then don't, go watch the 2D version instead. I'd understand this attitude if everything was in 3D and you were made to pay more for the only option but it isn't........
As long as said 3D is the "real" 3D (aka, the movie is filmed - or the majority of it - using 3D cameras), and as long as they release a regular 2D version IN ADDITION to it, sure. Give people a choice. If they want to shell out a few extra bucks for a super awesome 3D spectacle, let them. But if some people want to watch it in regular 2D, let them as well.
I don't give a damn either way. I'm not paying 3 extra dollars for a pair of glasses I don't even get to keep.
