I for one LOVE this set and the concept of it. Getting the core cast Autobots/Decepticons in one whole set with better paintjob.

I'd really like to see more sets like this in the future, like for the AoE Dinobots, the main cast for the upcoming "Robots in Disguise" cartoon or for a combiner team in Generations.

But I know this kind of set will have its haters, and it's understandable. Buying most of the cast from the main line and then a multi-pack comes out with all of the characters. Or you put down a good amount on the Takara versions for more accurate paintjobs, only to have even more accurate versions come in a multi-pack that cost a good amount less than what you paid or something along those lines.

Sound off guys, I wanna hear your opinions.

I think it's an awesome idea. I love when figures have better paint, and being able to get them all in one shot is nice too. I wasn't even planning to pick up most of these molds, but I find myself really wanting this set.

My only problem with this set in particular is that I wish it had rusty Prime and a repainted HO BB instead.

crosshairs and hound kinda piss me off. hastak holds off on the stripes in both releases except the five pack and retail hound barely has any paint apps in the first place... wouldn't have been hard to give that one camo.

I hate them. I don't see a point in holding back on the better stuff along with forcing people to buy them in an overpriced package that will usually have stuff you really don't want.

Love the idea. Beats hunting these figures down individually and/or paying extra for the Takara versions (especially if the deco isn't that much better than the Hasbro versions) to save on money. Plus improved paint deco? Sign me up. Really hope Hasbro offers their combiner teams in the Generations line as similar all-in-one sets/packs. Yeah, it sucks as an early adopter but those are the risks of buying/adopting early as with anything else (LED/HDTVs, new cars, cell phones, etc.).

I love the idea of it. But the Breakout and Prime with Grimlock packs are not my favorite. I will get them just for the Rusty Evasion Mode OP and the Grimlock, but I will buy that Autobots United in a heartbeat.

I'd love to see it happen more often. Only reason I've decided against getting the pack myself is due to already having Crosshairs and Drift, and not really desiring to double-dip on those molds (unless there's a friggin' sweet repaint of Drift as Bludgeon, Banzaitron, or in G1 colors), or to get Bee and Optimus. But the option is cool, and I'd love to see more.

Hell, Hasbro could use it as a way to release non-US molds - I'd have willingly double-dipped if something like this had happened for the Prime Decepticons, if they included Breakdown.

Hell yes. Especially if they are truly painted this way at retail.

Read: I'm mad because I'm impatient and bought them already.

Also, "overpriced?" We don't even know the price yet.

I'm not dropping $100-ish (prices not released, just going off of what's inside) on stuff I already have because they decided to paint it nicer/differently/etc.
It's great for someone that skipped all that stuff, but when I already -have- all of it...

Exactly this. I dislike it that buying the original releases is almost pointless when sets like this come out looking like they should have in the first place.

I don't dislike the idea of these packs, I just wish the figures had these decos to begin with. I already have the regular versions of the two I care about (Prime and Hound) so I don't see myself double-dipping for these.

I would like a dinobots attack set with voyager grimlock and deluxe scron, slug and strafe in the accurate decos.

Whoa whoa whoa... wait a minute.

Are those what the actual toys will look like? Because I MIGHT actually get that.

I've been holding off on getting any Age of Extinction toys because they honestly haven't impressed me (also trying to save money, cut down on clutter, etc. etc.), but those actually look really good. I'd LOVE to have a Hound and a "G1" Optimus.

Did they skimp on the main line just so they could release this pack?

Well this set is kinda useless to me seeing as how I've gotten good at painting.

It's a toss up. Since I usually wait to get figures anyways to see what Takara offers etc, it doesn't bother me that they release a more screen accurate deco later. What does annoy me though is when they keep releasing the same molds over and over again. Some of that money could have gone towards possibly a new mold or two. Looking at you Evasion Prime. I know people love you, but between Hasbro, Takara, and Exclusive releases we're almost at the 10 usage mark and it's the first time it's been used.

I'd love to see a boxset of five Prime Predacons (Laserback, skystalker, ripclaw, grimwing, predaking), done up in translucent purple and earthy brown and grey as Unicron's army from Predacon's Rising
