I enjoy these movies, they're annoying sure but I enjoy them even though they're the most hated movies on the planet. But I'm sick of how similar each film is and how ''Michael Bay'' like they are. I'm sick of his lens flares and his low camera angles, I'm sick of his humour and overly long running time. I love these movies but I want a new director so badly.

 

Take out Bay's name and not change a single other thing and watch how instantly people will all of a sudden love the films.

 

No. There's no director that can make a universally liked movie with this franchise.

 

I agree, or at the least i want bay to direct one like the first transformers movie.. like holy crap is it really tht hard?

 

Replace Bay and get a decent director, sure, there's no reason why not.

 

I kinda want a new director, just to see the fanboys doing olympics level mental gymnastics once the critics start trashing the film.

 

What about the writers? IMO Micheal Bay doesn't pick the right guys to write a good story, he should fire Kruguer and hire a better writer that's into space stuff ex. JJ Abrams I like him good director and good writer.

 

Just have Bay Serve as Producer for TF5 & TF6, and that's it.

 

We do need a new director, but what we really need, is a new writer. Kruger isn't that good of a Writer.

 

It's honestly hard to say. While I agree that these movies are poorly written, the way in which Bay managed to pull off the robots in action are entertaining. I feel like if these were done by a different director, we'll see even LESS Transformers on screen but with a better human story side to it.

I'm honestly fine with Bay directing but for goodness sake, give this franchise a good writer. I think that's all it really needs. Put together what we have now in terms of VFX plus a well written out story.

It seems to me the movies are stuck in a rut, like to see some change. A different take.

 

James Gunn, with Bay as producer, I'd like to see it happen, I'd be open for it.

But also with four movies in, I'm scared of a new director well...."ruining" (I know, I know) the movies or just completely messing with the ones Bay has already created.

 

Replace Bay and replace Kruger with a director that A. Doesn't have any bias against him (to be fair, Bay's cultural infamy is well deserved, despite some of the over-the-top ratings for TF4. B. Is actually interested in the content, and C. Uses character driven humor, and not stupid jokes created by his penis, and D. Can accomplish a coherent story line.

 

I agree about needing a new writer too. Kruger is terrible. Maybe at this point, don't even have Optimus find the creators in the next movie, just reboot it completely. Start from scratch.

So long as these films make money, we'll get more of them. They can't all be directed by Michael Bay.

People might not still see it cause Bay is still part of it, for example Bay is a producer to TMNT and people don't want to see it cause he's part of the movie and people keeping whining that he has ruined my childhood even though he's not directing the movie.
