Hi all, I had some interesting discussion here in the forum about the level of anthropomorphism of the TF designs in the movies and got inspired to try some designs of my own. They seem to go for really overtly stating "this is a samurai" etc when doing their designs, and beast modes are apparently over the top, so I took a guess for Perceptor and Rhinox, respectively... As for Brawn, I just wanted to play up the strongman aspect of him... So what do you think, would it be plausible that something like this turns up in TF5?
Hi Waffles, I understand this looks like a fanart display, but the drawings were mostly meant to spark a discussion about the artistic choices made for TF designs in Movieverse. If people like them, I´m glad, if people don´t, I want to know what they find different with these designs from the official ones... Besides from the obvious difference in artistic skill level, of course... But it´s up to you mods, of course

As for my point, what I really want to ask the movie fans out there is, if they disagree with Transformers wearing goggles, labcoats and nipple piercings, like they do in my designs, do they really, honestly, think they would still reject it if it was put forth as official design elements the fifth movie? Because they sure let a lot of ludicrous stuff pass already... No comment... My feeling is that to a lot of fans, as long as it is offical, anything goes, no matter how ridiculous. Canes, coats, farts... It´s often justifed by claims of it supposedly making the TF´s more "relateable" to the average moviegoer. But it really feels like people are accepting just because its official. Having that said, I put some sincere love into my designs, glad you like them
