Do You think Prime's Face Taking Was Meant As A Joke

    Think about it, back in G1 Prime didn't really have a face (Just Eye's and a faceplate). Now, in ROTF, he takes the faces of others so they know how it feels to not have a face.

    Could it be some all be some stupid joke?

    This is just a weird thought, I'm not one of those people that finds homages in every single scene.

    but as a really corny joke i'd say..... maybe.

    All the "NO" posts were expected, I don't really belive it was a joke myself. It was just a thought...

    Interesting thought. I don't think it is meant to be a joke. Not sure if the writers or Bay would go that far. I like the idea of Prime being naffed off at having a minimal face and taking others as compensation - quality!

    If it was a joke, it wasn't funny. The line itself didn't feel like it belonged in that scene.

    Not at all. I think it was simply to give Optimus a "thing" in the movie. Good as anything I guess...

    It was a cheesy line but I don't think it was meant as a joke. If you look at what's going on, it's hard to think he would be making a joke in the heat of the moment. Just before that, the Fallen does grab Optimus'es head and try to snap his neck or something so it might be Prime returning the favor. Also remember Prime is a kind of headhunter. In the first one he sticks his sword into Bonecrusher's face. In this one he shoots Demolisher in the head. He splits Grindor's face in half, and makes Megatron shoot himself in the eye.
